Great run, and it has some serious power, too! I think it needs some down-angle on the outboard because it wants to lift off on power. She's a beauty on the water for sure 👌
Thank you Jan! We trimmed down the outboard after some runs but it probably needs more😅! Moreover, the water was a bit choppy which I believe it contributed to the flip over!
Nice run! I advice to try a bigger propeller. It will grip the water better, and by the sound the drive can take it! 34mm can be easily fit, I guess even a 36mm will work. It will transform the performance to another level (and it's already good!)
Thank you Jan! You are right and we have already tried a 3614 prop and it was fastest (63). This was the first time we run with the extended rudder (see the cf extension) and also a blueprinted bottom! The boat was more stable and took better turns! Next steps prop and 4s😂
This hull has a lot of potential! It needs a little more down angle on the strut, and maybe the lipo needs to shift forward. It is a 100+ km/h hull for sure! Oh, and the sunrise at the background..beautiful!
@@CozyRC I totally agree with you! These are my next steps! Unfortunately I couldn’t test it more due to the cracked cowl which did not allow for 100% waterproofing. What about the trim tabs? I think I could try a little more without them! The sunrise was beautiful today I have some awesome pics with the cosy f1😃
Congrats, it runs awesome! I love how it leans in the corners, and it's stable too! Maybe it could run a bit dryer, by cog moving backwards, or positive prop angle. Happy boating ✌️
Thanks Jan! It's all my boy's work, he experiments with props and strut angles. Cog is difficult to change but positive prop angle has made a big difference.
Wow, great job Peter! She is a little ripper! Dim, I love the part where you ask 'Is this full throttle?' *Peter punches the throttle and the boat shoots forward* 'No no no!' Haha 😅. I love the handling, I might have to build such a mini version myself! And it will get even better with turn fins 👍😎 Thanks for sharing! ✌️
Haha yes it was great fun today and amazing first run 😄. I didn't expect that at all especially in a choppy water like this. Peter is very proud after your message and thanks you a lot. I should definetly build a wild thing style mono myself...
Yes 😊that it's all about the joy after the hours spent in the workshop and the questions about whether it will go well or not. Congratulations for the maiden run and for the kid very well drive the boat in that water👏
Daiciu I couldn't agree more with you. 👍👍👍 We had great time today and I think they deserve good runs after all this time of building and preparing their boats.
Great! I couldn't resist to run to the local pond and try it 😅. Having 2 for both of your sons is so nice, they can run head to head 😎. Looking forward to the maiden!
Thank you Jan... We can't wait either... Today early in the morning we ll be at the pond for a first try...without trim flaps, turn fins, a proper cowl or painting. We just wanna see her ride and check water cooling and overall functionality...
Nice video Dim! I really like the text boxes 😀 and the boat is turning out great. This hull has a very simple design and with that carbon hatch and your DIY outboard, you give it your own nice touch 👌
Thank you Jan! Indeed, it is very simple almost vintage (1998) design, but I think it has potential... If it runs nicely, it will be interesting an inboard version. The only problem with this wof technique is that you cannot use the sponsors to place your lipos and lower the cog.
Thank you very much for your kind words! I love scratch building of various hulls as you can see. And this what I like to your channel, you build and run various hulls... nice work! 👍
