For all things Mod, scootering, soul music, hopefully something a little different to brighten up this serious world, ahm on a ''mission from Mod'' Anything 60's or 50's cool, just plain nostalgia to those who have lived and grown up in those era's, even todays Mod scene, the quest for Mod knowledge goes on. The thirst for things unseen is unquenchable, the soul searching goes on, stay safe, stay happy, my best to you all.
I used to love the Punch and Judy show where Punch is belting the living daylights out of Judy with a stick saying "Thats the way to do it" !! The modern P.C. crowd would have a fit !! 🙂😂🤣
Wow! Exactly my generation. I wonder what all my friends and school mates of that time are doing now. The people who recorded this footage must have waited for days for the right weather. Summer in those days lasted maybe three or four weeks at most with lots of showers in between, and take note that everyone is dressed as if it's October.
I've just found this video - I know times were hard but it all looks happy, wonderful, so much simpler, and so much smarter. I was born in 1957 so was really a 60's child but just compare these scenes to today. What the hell has happened to our country ? Where's a time machine when you need one ?
No knives, we just used fisty cuffs, the odd boot and lots of fun. I was a top mod and just thought rockers were outdated 😂 I just loved this era and thought I was one of the coolest dudes around.😆
Experts on the tv keep telling us how bad things were in the 50's when in fact the majority of them were not even born. I was born in 1949 and my family and friends were a darn sight happier then than most people seem to be now.
There were millions of black and brown people in this at that time they have been purposely omitted to create an artificial white majority society of the past British nation this is all false brainwashing// these sort of white only films should be banned please don't delete my comments u tube it's just a thought
It was only many years later that I learned I grew up in a north London slum in the 1960s and that the rubble yards and ‘playgrounds’ were actually bomb sites that hadn’t been tidied up. To me at the time it was just home and the streets and canal, the tube station and railway tunnel were just one fabulous big adventure. My grandkids live in the suburbs now in the lap of luxury with gardens and parks but their childhood is shit in comparison with mine. What have we done to the country?
Please refrain from leaving far right wing repulsive comments on my video it's made for pleasure , nostalgia childhood innocence enough is enough "when Britain was white" remarks not acceptable I don't approve of any of your repulsive ideology agenda sorry it has come to this
When people had pride in their appearance,my mum would make me and my sister's dresses and then starch them,we thought we looked like princesses😊 princesses princeprincesses
That song I remember from 1959 but never knew the name. I was 6 . I lived North Londom, August was a hot month, sweltering I remember, we went to Canvey Island for a week, the simplicity of the age was brilliant although change was happening fast.
@barbaradavis8176 thanks for letting me know. I can here it now being played on A sunny Sunday on two way family favourites. Life was simple, even though it wasn't a dream. A big Sunday lunch, then Mondays was bubble and sqeak. The bubble and speak was slightly crisp and caramelised, and I would est it today. Simple things cooked simply are always best.
Grew up in the 60,s, best school days even school dinners, kids always outdoors playing, always seemed to be sunny maybe that's just me being sentimental, happy Days when the people I loved were all here. Adiós amigos.
Lovely memories . Our children will not have today.'' because of vile leaders'''. I was a child in the 50s, a teenager in the 60s, a mother in the70s. loved those times.

I was schooled in Northampton In the 1950s Didn't find it very beneficial Then migrated to australia In 1956 and went to several Schools the curriculum was Terrible ...subjects we were Taught weren't beneficial Once one left school They never taught cooking Which would have been Beneficial or music or languages I managed to find employment As a postman just after leaving school I managed To gain the highest marks With the aptitude test Reading writing and simple Maths saw me thru! Not algebra geometry Trigonometry or technical Drawing metalwork history Or geography rammed into Us at high school! It was a terrible experience Piled with homework as well One poor boy was expelled For failing to do his homework He lived on a farm and had Chores to do The teachers were terrible!
I call that"professional jealousy," they see something in you they hate about themselves, am glad you done well for yourself you proved them wrong that strengthened you to do better good on you 👍👌
We were carefree, never inside, even in the rain we were out. During our 8 week school summer holidays we were out all day, exploring, playing Japs and Marines, football, everything. Christmas was magic too, you were out exchanging ‘what did you get?’ with your many pals. We didn’t have a lot but we were safe, healthy and most of all, we were free.
