Thank you for making these videos! I trust your videos more than others' cause I am TIRED of being lied to and scammed out of money. I have two stem degrees and can't find a thing. I've been scammed enough so I was hesitant about spending MORE money on a course. You convinced me to try it. I'm clearly a hard worker so if this doesn't work out, yall will see my honest video lol
I’m happy to know you trust my videos 🥹I try to be super honest because I once too have been scammed and it’s not fun at all! I just want people to know this position is a stepping stone to bigger and better things and not a get rich quick scheme… lol Please let me know how it goes and if you need any help with the process I would love to help in anyway I can 💕 good luck !!!
Girl, did we work for same damn startup based in LA?? 😂😂 DEF made me sign that NDA too abd it's so hard to speak on it in interviews so I can fully relate and know the feeling 😅
This video was very clear and to the point. I liked the detail of adding what skills you'll need, recommended certs and what personality type will enjoy them based on their own strengths. Thank you for the valuable information 😊
I would like to work 100% remote for a Us company outside the country Like Mexico, do you think that is posible with tech sales ? Because I did some research and find out that most of the companies ask you to be in the office or hybrid , does your job is 100 Remote? Thank you so much for your content !
Hey! My company is a one of the few companies that still allow for 100% remote work. You can check out a website called NODESK(dot)CO and search for tech sales positions. There are different industries like Software Engineering that still has a high percentage of WFH jobs available.

I did a tech sales training late last year into march this year and was actively using the LInkedin strategies, and nothing. For the last 6 months I have been casually applying. It seems like a tough field to break into and I have sales experience. It seems like Course Careers folks have more success for sure...
@@asiacheriseabrooks9567 Honestly , your best bet , if you dont have a college degree , to go though a camp like the one she mentioned in this vid , get connected with companies and just start applying day in & day out It will get better trust me
@@asiacheriseabrooks9567 So it's a little bit of both. The economy is suffering right now so everyone's pockets is a little tapped, that causes hiring to slow down. Also in the Tech Sales industry specifically there was an influx of new talent flooding the market. That made it really competitive. There is still a lot of jobs available for people who have more experience and apply for more senior positions but its becoming more difficult to break in. Hope this helps.
Just dodged a bullet today. Very, very, very new startup. I was totally right, BDR means BDR/AE mix. Can't do that in a brand new industry, with a four person company. A shady sister company connected to it, too. Great vid!
Is the problem the job or is it that people always want to do what others are doing trying to get rich quick? Lol nothing wrong with the job, it’s just not for anyone. This goes for every job in the world. People who don’t have an entrepreneurial mindset will never do extraordinarily well in sales, they will be average at best.
@@Bookib it's not, cold calls suck the first 2 weeks and then it becomes autopilot. It's honestly super chill compared to most corporate jobs. It gets tough once you become an AE though
Thank you for tuning in! And of course! I took the Course Careers technology sales course, here is the link: coursecareers.com/ref/22054/ Also if you have any question about it please let me know, I would love to answer them for you! Good luck and let me know how it goes ☺️
Watched a video of yours a few months back and it persuaded me to shoot my shot. Started my first tech sales job as an ISR this week. My OTE is so low, $58k~, but I'm willing to ride it out to learn the game. Hopefully within 3-4 years I can double that.
That’s amazing !!!! I’m glad the videos motivated you to take the leap! And I’ll tell you this, it doesn’t have to be that long before you double that! I would focus on crushing it at your current position for about 6-8 months and then start looking for another company that pays you more! If you can show that you hit quota regularly, you can negotiate for a position where OTE is 90, and your base pay is 58k !!! Good luck and please tell me how it goes💪🏽💪🏽

Just as Successful as you will be one day 🤔✊🏽. I thought you went from around $40k To $80K that’s Success! Anything positive that you have completed Is Success. You completed the Course and did Land several jobs . 😊🎉
Do you think this job can be done or has flexibility with having toddlers at home? I am wondering if I can do the job with the of distraction my 1yr and 4yr. Thanks
Did you say how long you were at the jobs? I’m worried about switching too soon & then do I put that experience on my resume still & just explain they weren’t a good fit?
20 grand is a progress girl! Keep up good work! What were your secrets and steps to get into tech sales without having prior experience? Thanks in advance!
Bro, it’s not worth it. I joined one called elevate there no charge up front but afterwards $12k and they guarantee you a job and don’t forget the 13.1% interest rate. Please dont go to a bootcamp, you are better off using RU-vid University for all of the info. This channel has a lot of information and other channels too.
I am looking for my second career. Thank you for telling the truth. I am so tired of seeing $300 to $400k a year. What about starting at $30K a year and working your way up? If it's too good to be true, it's too good to be true!
I started as an SDR 10 years ago. I now am a Sales Operator for a startup funded by a CEO of a 300+ MM company. It took me 10 years to get to this part of my career. I have a small salary too because when I say we are a startup I mean we are a very very fresh startup. One thing I can say is that just keep hustling. Sales is hard.
Thank you for this. As an experienced salesperson though, I've dealt with these challenges. I just wasn't getting the 70k. I think this might be a great fit for me.
Tech sales is 1000% not worth it. You will find yourself bouncing from job to job either bc you got laid off due to not meeting unobtainable company quota OR bc you got hired on with a start up that stopped being funded. Unless you like the stress of being micromanaged and your job being threaten every Q with what is called a “PIP” then I suggest you take your skills to a company that values your skillset.
It may be worth it to some, so you can't say it's 1000% not worth it. But I'm with you, I worked as an AE and hated it. I'm now working on my IT skills getting into cyber.
The experience that you have with the job largely depends on 3 really important things. 1) Product Market Fit 2) Enablement/Development Training 3) Employment Tenure When applying for a new role, I would say these three things are TOP factors to look out for when undertaking a position so you don't end up in a bad situation
It can still be worth it because it opens other doors, as long as you are good at your BDR job. You can always transition into being a CSM, or working in Sales Enablement
In the beginning stages they will. I had a great manager and trainer I started off with, which helped me a ton. Only thing is I started off as an full cycle AE. So I definitely was working more than 8hrs most days.
