No I haven't. I remember seeing the trailers and I like the look, but it didn't grab me enough to grab it at full price when it came to Xbox. Might get around to playing it eventually
@@sadsnorlaxyt I find it challenging to believe you like Zelda clones and not Zelda. Isn't the appeal of Zelda clones is due to the fact they are similar to Zelda. So if you dislike Zelda I got to wonder how much of a clone the Zelda clones are. Kena Bridge of Spirits, is a Zelda clone it is better graphics but the gameplay mechanics are a bit rough.
I haven't really played Tunic yet, it looks really good, and I think the hook of the manual and language is interesting. Been in my wishlist and waiting for a good sale
Too bad Darksiders III was mediocre putting the series on the fence of good and bad. tho mentioning Okami is only plus in this video, also because the game looks beautiful its unique style. Personal I do like more Classic Zelda games including Twilight Princess, the Echoes of Wisdom is making me smile a ton.
I actually rather enjoyed Darksiders 3, it's a nice cross between classic God of War and Dark Souls, I can totally get why you might not vibe with it. It does strip most of it's Zelda influence to more Souls-like than anything.
I think as a Zelda Player, there can't be enough Zelda Clones, that doing a good job. I know Okami and played alot of the Darksiders Series, BECAUSE they are Zelda like. At the end it comes to what kind of characters you prefer. I can tell, that some ppl are put off if the Main Character don't speak or there is a good reason to not speak (like Amaterasu, because she is a Wolf afterall) Link can be most of the time, just the guy you control. There is not that many Situation, where you feel his anger/sadness, short: impressions ect. (like you mention in Twilight Princess. If this was your first Zelda Game, everything else can feel like a downgrade) The story needs to be interessting, otherwise, it's just a Puzzle Dungeon Boss Battle Adventure Game. And both Okami and Darksiders are fresh in this. If ppl never played both of this Game and like Zelda, they miss alot. But im in that ages, that i don't care, if someone says "it's not the same". Noone can be forced to do things, they don't like things, looking on the outside, but well... i know alot of ppl trying a Game years later, loving it, but act, like they was never told to play it.
Currently slugging through Totk and man, i feel you. I like Zelda but this game is getting on my nerves. I remember playing Okami as a kid and totally falling in love with the game, then hearing that it was inspired by Zelda, a series I never played. When i finally got a nintendo console i immediately wanted to try it for myself, expecting it to be even better than Okami. It might be Nostalgia, but it really wasn't. Okami's charm, world and characters is really unmatched in my head.
Bruh..... hes clearly joking..... and this video was not at all political.... you give trump voters a bad name with shit like this. Support your candidate and stop deviding us further than we already are. Dont bring political bullshit into everything.
@Badmunky64 , from your presumption, it's pretty clear you're sniffing something. Tbh, you're probably the one voting for Harris since you're the only one bringing up politics here. lol.
I came here to hear about Zelda clones because I need more Zelda or Zelda-like content. So in that sense the video delivered, thx! But I was waiting for the part where you explain why you prefer them. You just told us why you like them, or did I miss anything?
It was more slight mentions, especially in the Darksiders section of liking the combat, style and even some puzzles more, and I do say I think Okami is better than any Zelda game. I wanted the video to be more about showcasing games that I like rather than talking down on Zelda as whole, and I felt like saying I couldn't connect and saying these games have better combat and puzzles conveyed that message. It has obvious done enough to ruffle some Zelda fan's feather's.
I adore Okami and like Darksiders 1 and 2. Okami is on par with the best 3d Zeldas. I love Zelda games, it's my favourite series of videogames, love the 2D ones and 3D alike. It's OK that you don't like them, we all have different opinions and tastes. cheers
With Okami, either play the original PS2 version, get it on PC and mod it, or get a PS4 copy from Japan, because in every other version they cut out the absolute best end credits theme ever and replaced it with generic instrumental slop. Absolutely ruins the vibes of the original, its the kind of music paired with the visuals that will get you all teary eyed.
Boy, you're not going to get any fans from this vid, but I'll tell ya my favorite "Zelda" games are; Link to the Past, Darksiders series, Okami and Beyond Oasis. All such great games.
Darksiders has better combat and puzzles, which is what makes up 90% of any Zelda game, even BotW. The only thing I can really say is better about BotW is that it's graphically more impressive, but it came out nearly a decade after Darksiders, and there is more of it, but more of a mid-game is just extra boring 🤷♂️. Also, there really isn't an "objective" measure of quality that can really put one over the other, we just have two opposing subjective views, but my opinion is right tho
@@sadsnorlaxyt The sheer amount of creativity and options with the combat system in BotW & TotK far outstrip Darksiders. The Forest Temple of Ocarina of Time, every Dungeon in Skyward Sword and the DLC Divine Beast of BotW beats any puzzle from Darksiders.
@@sadsnorlaxyt is BOTW really more impressive? I mean really? Yeah, graphics are better, given that it was released later, or more powerful hardware, but when it comes to art direction, let’s not kid ourselves. BOTW looks more generic than Darksiders. The comic book aesthetic that Joe Mad brought to the series and reinforced in Darksiders 2, is much more interesting than the generic empty fantasy stuff from BOTW. Joe Mad’s team even made the dead plains and the tombs underneath look really good and interesting.
Not the biggest fan of Zelda myself. My favorite Zelda titles are the nes titles the 2 N64 titles. Could not get into a link to the past , I think Beyond oasis is a MUCH better game!🤯 I SAID WHAT I SAID!!!!👊🏻🤣

Found you through the Okami subreddit. I feel similarly, never got into Zelda, only 3D one I enjoyed was Twilight Princess but I have liked some of the older 2D titles. However, Okami is my favorite game of all time. You’re absolutely right that each section feels like a complete game. Blew my absolute mind when I was 12 that the game didn’t end after defeating Orochi and there was more. Thanks for the great video, I will have to try darksiders sometime.
Honestly I prefer 2D Zelda too, I rather liked the Links Awakening remake. Okami is definitely my favorite Zelda style game, and probably makes into my top 10. Thank you for watching my video, I really appreciate it!
Twilight Princess is peak. As a lifelong zelda fan i get the complaints and can agree to a point. Personally i started out loving breath of the wild but the more i played it the less it felt like a zelda game. Now i cant stand it. Havent even touched the new one yet and doubt i ever will
Breath of the wild is dark souls@@sadsnorlaxyt. Tbh I wish they would bring back the traditional dungeon and items/Collectables. They need to take the engine and world they built with BOTW and make it old school adventure and dungeons
BotW is Dark Souls if the combat got a downgrade, level designers confused engaging with giving the player an open field (which Souls kinda did with Elden Ring anyway), and made all the weapons out of twigs and dreams. I do think a traditional 3D Zelda game made in BotW's engine would make for an interesting title, but it looks like Nintendo wants the classic Zelda formula to remain with their 2D Zelda games while all 3D titles follow BotW's formula.
@@sadsnorlaxyt it's not 😂 Ik you need views and trying to be edgy but botw is known for its Revolutionary design and how easy it is to have fun. Sure botw has many flaws just like any game but when it peaks there is no game even close to it
I know the PS3 version doesn't, which is where i first played Okami. I recorded this gameplay on an Xbox series X, and only tried it on the opening scene so I could have missed that most are skip able.
Okami exists since the PS2. It was also on Wii. So it would be a shame, if they don't put some small quality of life things into the remaster Versions.
I LOVE THIS GAME!! The combat overhaul is great, just beat the easiest to get a hang of it, I'm halfway through Normal now. I love chaining the Finishers!
This is actually the exact way I feel as well, the games seem like they’d be ultra different on the outside. However when you play them, the vibes are shockingly similar in ways you wouldn’t ever think. I’m glad theres a few people that agree.
Says the guy with 206 subscribers. Like listening to a homeless person giving his thoughts about Dom Perignon and staying at the Waldorf Astoria. While certainly I respect your opinion, I thought this movie was funny as fuck. It's cute as hell, and made my kids laugh continuously. So this is not a movie meant for a grown man, this is a movie meant for a child. Unless you are a child, then I apologize. 😁
I'm surprised you didn't mention the crystal mechanic giving a great incentive and reward to actually fight the enemies instead of just running past, I really appreciated that from this game!
I do mention the crystals, just ended up passing over that sometimes they drop from enemies. I also was pushed into combat more because of it, because I just fought everything on principle
@@sadsnorlaxyt Oh, I didn't miss that you mentioned them at all, them being on regular enemies is just the most significant of its sources to me. I actually also fight everything on principle. Except those railgun crabs...
Have you by any chance checked out Clash: Artifacts of Chaos? Like AC'sT it's very colorful, creative, has solid gameplay and more to the story & characters than one may expect. It's not *fully* Soulslike though there are recognizable elements. More focused around melee and martial arts than weaponry, and a prequel to the Zeno Clash series. It's become one of my favourite games in recent years and can warmly recommend it.
@@sadsnorlaxyt It was on 70% off during the summer sale on Steam. Hope that if not there, you'll find it elsewhere, and in advance wish you a lot of fun on it!
Ohh man! This video is great. You've got such professional and fun editing. You deserve many more views and subscribers, and you WILL get them!! Cheers mate
@@sadsnorlaxytdon't listen to that dumbass who doesn't understand the title, because you literally say "Is it the best?" And that's not really clickbaity because it could be the best souls-like game for some
One of the main things I noticed in the game was the movement, you can just zip around skipping most enemies. I was surprised to see most reviews barley talking about it
Control was the most pretentious pieces of shit games I have ever played, the only redeeming quality was that you could break stuff. Alan Wake looks interesting though always loved Max Payne :)
Damn, what did Control do to hurt you? I don't really get the feeling of pretention from Control, but to each his own. I'm sorry to say that if you didn't like Control, you probably wouldn't enjoy the Alan Wake games. Especially the 2nd game, it relies heavily on the lore and world building established in Control, which I love, but from your comment, I assume you probably wouldn't enjoy it.
@sadsnorlaxyt control just seemed too contrived and up its own ass . If control had a music taste it would be Tool. I livestreamed it until I gave up and then traded it in because I honestly had no interest in completing it, just like Cyberpunk. I'm going too look up Alan Wake games because you said they're like King stories and I have read and enjoyed a few King books in my time, (He's just as good as Bachman imo lol)
