Totally love your CD. Many years ago I had the opportunity to buy a lighter shade of blue 300D Turbo Diesel. I passed on the deal and have always regretted it. As years passed I found a 1984 E320 sedan in Spruce Green with a tobacco brownish leather interior. I quickly bought it and it proved to be one of the best cars I have ever bought. I have owned various Mercedes ever since.
i have a 1982 Dodge Ram charger royal SE i bought brand new in 1982 i have over 500,000 miles and have never touched the power train Radio cruise control clock heater works perfect it needs body work now i had body work done in the 90s but i live in north Dakota and winters are hard on the unit and i am 82 yrs old and to big of a project for me now all glass is perfect shape no cracks also still has the RAM head on hood
Too late I'm sure but Richie's Paint and Body in Kinard florida. He has a very low overhead he's out in the country and he doesn't charge enough I also have a 89 Dodge Ramcharger which I love Ramcharger which I love
Nice work. I had an '85 and I spent nearly every other weekend under the hood working, repairing something. While it was a beast on the trail, the electrical issues killed it. Have no idea what happened electrically but this is usually the biggest issues on these due to the sheer length of time on the wires and heat in the engine bay. If I ever got another one, I'd start with a brand new wire harness!
Bought a 1987 should of went to the scrap yard alot of Pennsylvania rust had a solid frame after a lot of building sheet metal, completely installing new floors, Rebuilding all the inner fender wells, front and back, installing new body mounts a labor of love, just couldn't send her to the crusher, the interior is like brand new, long hours at the garage, she is turning out looking like a new ramcharger again, it will be worth it in the end
I had a blue 87 just like this one. Tires were a little bigger but had a 318 crate with 2500mi on it. Had blue interior, billet alum grill. It was my favorite vehicle I've owned. Was the closest thing to a Dodge Charger I could find haha
Nice! Love the color and looks to be in great condition. I have sedans, a 240D and a 300D. One day maybe I'll find a nice coupe. Are you in the Jax area by chance?
I had a 79 trail duster. Roof was very heavy. But best thing was the fully flat rear cockpit. I removed the seat and tossed in some blankets. Roof off, blankets/pillows drive in movie theater and i might have some kids running around i don't know about. Just kidding. But man if i could have one now.
May be a little biased but this is true. I have a ramcharger (83 318) and 2 buddies of mine 1 has a blazer 1 has a bronco and the RC has been able to do the most of all 3 so far without getting stuck or just plain not being able to go up something in 4 low. I love the Rams
I had an 87 with 318 4x4 from 2003-2006. Interior was absolutely immaculate from previous owner putting seat and carpet covers. Minnesota salt had killed the body. I still washed and waxed it on the regular. Very fun and reliable truck. Still miss it!
My family had owned several old BMWs over the years.wonder how hard (Or easy) an ls swap would be? Had a 350 swapped jaguar that just wouldn't quit. Seems every Mercedes I've considered buying over the years has had some tweeker ruin the wiring or it was just beat by some kid owning it.
I have an 86 too. It's in running condition but the SMELL!! I need to figure out what's burning, repair the gas gauge, windshield wiper motor , get a paint job, tint and new AC. But I'm broke!! so little by little. Great job!
I had an 87 ramcharger. We put a souped up 440. Headers trick heads and big cam. Predator carb and that beast was 700 plus hp dyno at 780 max . Mopar muscle
Nice and shame they didn’t bring the turbo version to the UK. Weird that it was only sold in US ehere diesel thanks to (then) cheap fuel never took off.
Not quite true. In USA MB was strictly a luxury brand, not a taxi car. They sold massive amounts of diesels enough to justify the W115 300D, W123 300TD, W116 300SD and the W126 300SD which were North America only
so cast iron heads j heads usually dont warp. aluminum heads warp easier. iron heads will however crack. timing and distribution is key but also in these truck a aluminum radiator and additonal fans not a bad idea. however the issue you will have is when you do the knuckles the axles and the transmission.
Then you are either confusing it with the 4-door sedan or you have been doing far too many bong hits. Only about 15K of these were imported to NA from 1977-1985.
I rarely see the coupe versions of these 1970s MB. My neighbor has a 4 door. When I see a 2 door C123 at the MB shop next time, I will park by to see it.
