Hello! Thank you for your informative video. I have a hard time figuring out if it is possible for a use to generate on the fly (via a javascript/openlayers app) a WPS request and that the output is rendered as a wms image? So lets say the user selects 2 raster layers, a WPS request will be written and POST to perform a specific transformation of the data, and then the output of this transformation is rendered back to the user's app via a wms call. Thank you very much for your help, I have a hard time finding any info on that regard!
Thank you for a great intro, I was wondering where can we find the links Jenny is referring to in the video? it would be great if the link can be shared it will be really helpful to follow the introduction. Thanks :)
Actually, I think calling ArcSDE middleware also should apply to PostGIS. Each has its pro and cons of course. For instance, postGIS is supported by many upstream software but only extends PostgreSQL. ArcSDE on the other hand is only supported by ArcGIS upstream but extends many DBMSs downstream.
Node is written in C/C++ so it's not really a bridge. It has facilities to allows you to bridge to shared libraries written in C/C++ these are called bindings
