@@sebastiangut25 Thank you so much for enlightening me! that makes sense. I actually have a pre-built VP26 and I couldn't find the answer to this. I was always wondering, "Man, mine is missing something, maybe it would sound better if it was finished". Lol. All good
A wee quick, but still appreciated. Thank you for tempting me to gain more info: trannies used, prices, … Will check with Reverb, EBay,et al.🎸👨🏼⚕️🎸. 🫶✌️♾️
So when changing the tone knobs, do I just pull up on them until they come off? I really want to change the tone/volume knobs on my Custom 24 SE to look more like the CE/Core knobs.
There are videos already uploaded where you can listen to DI-ish examples, I used a more distorted tone in mine. I know this doesnt showcase the tone purely and it isn‘t a tutorial either. This is me repairing the bass of my band buddy
doing same mod in a few days. Except also changed to switchcraft 3 way and white tusq nut. Mines the 2021 Eriza verde custom SE. Already did a full fret job on it. Its given me problems but i love it for some reason. Maybe its because its green and has a comfortable neck. Not to mention the stock floating bridge is so cool to me.
I see you, too, discovered the best fuzz pedal ever created….😏 It is, without a doubt, my favorite pedal in my arsenal. Sadly, they are so hard to come by now. I want to get a second one just in case anything were to happen to the one I have now. And fantastic demo, Friend! You really showed off how fucking cool it sounds.
Did the same thing on my PRS SEs. One major tip - make sure you save your original tuning machines wood screws for the back of the heads stock. The screws that came with the PRS locking tuners did not fit. They were too small. This was a simple and great upgrade for my SE models and makes string changing a breeze :)
Hi thanks for the videos. Im looking to build a 4 channels of capi pres and eq for 8 modules. Im not a beginner but not very experienced either. Just changed pots and pickups etc. Do you happen to have a list of recommended soddering equipment you use or recommend such as the gun, the clips and stands etc.?
I have the same gtr and color love it, I had issues with the tuning tho...going to replace the nut, I also swapped out the tuners on it to locking and lampshade buttons. Replacing the nut with a graphite nut and hoping the tuning will be resolved
@@sebastiangut25 huge difference in tone and tuning. Although the nut slots need to be cut down or lower the nut height but that's expected. I also put 59/09 pickups in it and well what a difference , the guitar plays great now and I'm super happy with it
Great video. Thinking of making a few of these VP26's. I noticed you have 2 Heritage HA73EQ's,.. I have a pair as well. Do you use them much after building all the CAPI's? I know the design is way different but do they sound completely different? Thanks a bunch.
Insider: Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers Tribute Band hey thanks! I built the capis primary for drum recording and they get the most use there. I love The fast transients and midforwardness of the CAPIs. The HA73 i tend to use for vocals, DI Bass and Overheads. Both have their place and having a API and NEVE colour to choose from was a goal of mine from the first place... if you know what you are doing, you will hear a difference 😅 especially if used on every source while tracking (neve console sound vs api on a budget) hope this was helpful 🤙
I was really hoping I could get a L/R panning effect out of this pedal like a Leslie miked on opposite sides, but it seems like both channels are “in phase.” Do you know if there’s a way to reverse that?
fiddlehead 2.0 hey there! I think you should try out the strymon lex pedal, best leslie emulation pedal on the market, with double the price of the Ventura Vibe 😅
