Vortex was actually a bit dissapointing to me but this was amazing. I just think the music was a bit boring. Renate sounded AMAZING throughout the album though.. still a great album. No Amon Düül Album is bad!!!

@Tamatommy : Naja, auch dies hier ist ein "cover". Das ist eine ganz alte englische Seemannsmelodie, ursprünglich als "The Sailor's Hornpipe" bekannt. Wird auch gerne von Spiemannszügen, Bigbands und auf'm Schifferklavier in Seemannskneipen gespielt. In Deutschland meisten unter dem Titel "Englischer Schiffsjungentanz".
Sehr schön melancholisch. So könnte man es tatsächlich ausdrücken. Die Hauptkritik an der WoundedKnee - LP war ja seinerzeit, dass die Musik "zu lieblich" für die Thematik des Indianer-Massakers sei. Dieselben Kritiker würden wohl auch die traumhaft schöne Diashow von furrystoat bemäkeln. Musikalisch ist hier vor allem PopolVuh dominant - die 'Handschrift' unseres unvergessenen Florian Fricke ist unüberhörbar.
