Helping women through their 40's and beyond to beat stress, fatigue, weight gain and hormone havoc.
You might have wondered what the hell happened when you hit 40? I did! Common complaints are feeling tired, moody, stressed, more aches and pains, and its often harder to lose any stubborn weight. This is often put down to 'getting older', but these issues can be caused by hormonal imbalances. Hormones work together and if one is out of balance, it can affect the others. For example, if you are over stressed this can affect your sex hormone production and metabolism. Diet and lifestyle can dramatically affect your hormone health. This page will give you information and tips on how to look after your hormones using healthy foods, supplements and lifestyle changes.

So you like all the other videos put everything on the men to do more. We have done all the supporting we can do and still nothing. We are 10 years in and hasn’t gotten any better. All I keep hearing is help and support her. Nothing about help and support for men
Natural Progesteron is contained in walnut oil. It has exactly the same structure as our bodys own progesterone.I drink a teaspoon in the morning and evening and also rub it on my inner thighs once a day. I just startet two weeks ago but I already feel much better.
iv just watched this and its very transparent and insightful .... my partner has gone through the menopause for the last 9 years including HRT and its very strange for me to watch it from the outside looking in.... this clip is very educational for men... you should be on TV.
Hey Nicki! Question. Is it possible for it to take 11 months of no alcohol to start dreaming again? They are good dreams. I used to dream all the time until my alcohol abuse issue which started at age 25. I am now 38, alcohol free for almost 12 months now. I started dreaming again a few weeks ago and its almost every night atleast every other night. Is it possible for it to take that long? What could cause it to take 11 months if so? Are there tests to have all your hormones checked? Thank you for the video Nicki, you are absolutely beautiful btw! 😊
Ona's progesterone is sold "over the internet" and it's a high quality cream. I was taking compounded progesterone from my pharmacy for years, but Ona's 5% is better absorbed by my body.
Great video. I'm currently on TRT and it's made a huge difference to my life. Natural food and a healthy lifestyle is massive yet doctors seem more interested in pills at least in my experience. Subscribed.
So do tell us what menopause is about if not PRIMARILY estrogen deficiency. Secondly, menopause doesn’t end, so the only way you “sail through it” is with death. Please educate yourself before you try to educate others.
All these alternatives/supplements are fine but they CAN NOT create estrogen in our bodies. The estrogen deficiency is what is causing all our symptoms.
Many women are actually estrogen dominant because of the hormones that are being injected in the meat we eat, the endocrine disruptors in personal products and household products, and tap water.
Even if the man is super supportive and does everything right by her.. its still over for him.. perimenopause signals the eventual end of the the relationship.. even if you stay together it's not the same anymore.. it's just kinda ruined
I started a progesterone cream at ovulation and it helped with mitterlscmhertz pain. My fibrocystic breasts did not happen with this cycle. And the bleeding was way less than usual. I'm so happy. However, every day I took.the progesterone, I had brain fog and headaches. Will that subside? How long should I use it for?
I find it’s tough to live a life without carbs or even low carbs. I eat sweet potatoes now instead of rice for example but I think we all need some low carb carb alternatives that aren’t protein. I still need to eat several times a day and feel full.
My dr said im not allowed this hormone😮 I suffer from low libido and severe tiredness, aches and pains brain fog , sleep anxiety, is this low testosterone?
Woman here.. hey men, just to let you know, we have not been taught about what is happening to us emotionally and physically in menopause, for example I didn’t even know why i kept waking up at night and was exhausted all day as a result of not sleeping well until months of it happening then I started looking for help but i found information to be woefully lacking and frustrating because every woman is different. But a few things that actually help alot is fasting for at least 48hrs, and supplements of magnesium, berberine, and st johns wort helps to balance hormones. Please remember we didnt choose this and it is very difficult for us to manage so some women get frustrated. A close relationship with Jesus has helped me as well as a most amazing husband. We do alot of intimate things but intercourse is extended painful - although for him i do it because I know its important to him to keep the closeness which I also crave. I do get irritated with him from time to time but I make a conscious effort to never take out my moods or real physical issues on my husband; its not his fault and he is as baffled as i am about these things. It takes more than love to fight this battle through menopause. I believe its a time to reflect and improve our own life and I have many older friends in their 60s who assure me that this turmoil is not forever! We plan to keep fighting through this together and learning and especially talking - I have to say, I used to be the one who talked openly about sex and about everything but now Im quiet and reserved so as not to upset anything yet my husband always tells me he feels so relieved once I open up and tell him what Im really feeling and thinking then he/we can take action to improve the situation. I hope this helps someone ❤
If shes makes your life hell, not her fault, but it's no way to live especially if she won't get help. My mother was abusive towards my father during her menopause and made his life hell. Only so much you should take. It's not your fault either. If it is a problem may have to think about yourself and leave. Odd's are she would.
No sex, no kissing, no physical intimacy for over 7 years. She has been in Peri for 10 years and doesn't look like it is ending soon (as her OBGYN says she is not close to Menopause). Cuddles? yeah - she doesn't want to touch, next to each other or anything. Just like an emotionally withdrawn mannequin. I am trying to get her to see a Peri/Menopause specialist (NAMS certified) - but that is always met with defiance, anger and opposition. I am at a loss - looking at 22 years of marriage and family just being lost. She will not avoid bad foods, sugar or other - won't take any of the supplements I have stocked up on - just opposing anything to help. She hasn't even told her OBGYN about her total loss of libido and desire - and we are on year 10 - like she wants to hide it and not deal with it in any way.
It is not her hormones. It is you. If she met Jason Mamoa or the rock and he wanted to smash. Do you believe she would decline? She just does not want to smash you. And why should she? She didn't deliver for 7 years but yet you are still there, still providing. Free stuff is tempting
Thank you for the video on how men can be supportive to the ur partner in peri menopause. Could you also do a video please advising women on how to make things easier on men, and how women shouldn't think they have a pass to mistreat and disrespect their man while in menopause? Women still have responsibilities towards their men during this I think.
For HRT I have a uterus I’m on an estrogen patch, but for my progestin , I am taking the mini pill Lyza, .35 mg a day. I hope that’s enough for menopause, I’m 53. Is Lyza okay? They are not giving me anything else, pills or topical
struggling with gray area drinking in midlife, Sarah Rusbatch's discussion resonated deeply. her openness about the negative impact on well-being hit home. Aspect Health played a role in my journey, not pushing it. replacing alcohol with healthy changes felt daunting, but it made a significant difference. boredom, stress, and loneliness, the underlying triggers she mentioned, were familiar. now, considering her insights on a fulfilling life without booze. the shift is challenging, but the potential for happiness is worth it. 🌟🚫
My wife age 57 is going through menopause and it is ruining our marriage of 30 years she is not the woman I married all those years ago she has changed so much I think I am falling out of love with her and losing my patience at the same time I haven’t had sex in a few year’s now something is going to have to give and I have talked to her but apparently my needs are not important in this sexless relationship there are other things she can do that don’t involve vaginal penetration she can do oral? Or even anal she did all that before menopause I don’t know how much longer I can hold on? I have expressed my concerns that’s all I can do
Can’t see any info about the tests? I have been to the Louise Newson clinic via video link during covid for advice but didn’t think I needed testing then.
