I got the job!!! Omg!!! After 2 months I finally watched this video to see what was I doing wrong! I watched this before my interview yesterday and got the offer today!! Omg!!! You are gold for dropping these free gems! Thank you!!
I am so thankful for seeing your video earlier, which allowed me to prepare ahead of time. I followed exactly what you suggested (including the three questions from your other videos) for my Zoom interview yesterday, and it went very well! My second interview will be in two weeks. Thank you so much!
Hi Abby, I recently found your channel as I prepared for an interview. Thank you for this video. Many of the questions I've always had but thought would be rude/bold to ask. I prepared my questions and asked about five of the many (more than 12), lol. I got the job. So thank you once again and keep up the good work.
Hello Abby. My name is Teresa. I just sent you an email and I look forward your response 😇. THANK YOU A LOT for these tips. I'm going to use them all. Blessings of love and peace!
Hi, is it ok, I wear hijab with formal dress during interview? As I see interviewer bit surprised last time. Should I explain them that hijab is related to my religious obligation?
Yes I applied a month ago, had 3 interviews one I went through the 2nd stage, then didn’t get it due to not aligning with what they were looking for, but they they had re posted the job again so looks like they hadn’t found any right candidates for the role then other ghosted. Then the 3rd one just said they ended up going with the other candidate but there feedback was good but yes there was some things outside of my control. But got another 2 more interviews in a few days so prepping for those just gotta go back to the drawing board and keep going. Just have to stay focused I have asked for feedback. Your videos have been very helpful.
I 100% agree on your point about the interviewer talking about themselves! All the jobs I've got easily, off a single interview, are the ones where I just let the lone interviewer go on and on about themselves.
I agree and don’t agree, 1. Study about the company, 2. Always pay attention and take notes when interviewers are speaking and ask related questions. Just how interviewers take key notes when you speak. 3. DONT ask general questions. 4. DONT ask unrelated to questions, like “what do you like about your role” . Interviewers don’t like these type of questions. This shows how unprepared you are.
Thankyou every day i’m job searching and getting the interviews but either never hear back to hear back and not successful It’s hard to motivate very intense. These tips sound good will help me to refocus
I ask about the salary range now especially if it was not posted on the position. I am not going to waste my time with any other interviews. I also ask about who is doing the training because I've had horrible training in the past. I try to ask questions as the interview is going. The interview has a tendency to run out of time & get rushed out of the interview when they are threw with you.
I still fine virtual interviews uncomfortable even though I have had several of them in the last two yrs since my layoff. I have to psych myself up for them. I rather have an in-person or a phone interview any day of the week than a virtual one. I think its because I never know where to look. I don't like to be on any kind of camera period. I will listen/watch your videos. Good tips!
My first reaction is “OMG!” This is not a question that should be asked because it can lead to age discrimination. While it’s not illegal (in the US), because they’re not asking about your age directly, it isn’t a question that should come up. There are a few ways you can respond. My preference might be: “I received my degree a few years ago, and I’d like to make sure I’m understanding the intent of your question. Is there a particular class, project, or coursework that is relevant to this job that you are looking to verify?” This type of response doesn’t directly call them out for asking an almost illegal question, and it redirects the question to something that is more job related.
@@LifeWorkBalance I also considered they may be thinking that a masters degree attained twenty years ago is somehow irrelevant now? Though they didn't ask anything continuing education or relevant experience to the field.
I have an interview for a marketing administrator and two of the questions that I am concerned about is, why do you want to leave your current company and what are your salary expectations. Please help.
what do you say when they ask, what salery expectations are you looking for? i want a big salery but they only offer a $3000 salery, if i want more, can i ask for more? or then if thats what they pay, why are they asking me what i want dont they remeber what they were offering?
My first interview was 15 mins shorter then scheduled but I got scheduled for a second interview. The second interview was scheduled for 1hr but it was done in 30mins. Does it mean it’s not a good sign😅? However most of the signs you mentioned were there tho.
I'm going to be totally honest here and say companies have 0 qualms about making you jump through AI hoops like them using ATS software or screen tracking software or mouse tracking software, GPS on your work car or phone keeping tabs etc yeah no if it gives you an advantage ANY type of advantage I am all for it..... Companies have 0 problems sticking a camera on you for 8 hours a day watching every fart you make every time you scratch your nose. Companies have no qualms replacing you with the robot or the front reception with a AI receptionist. In today's game there is simply what you can do and what you cannot do. Trust me when it comes to companies - its rules for me but not for thee (important to add company policy and company rules are not laws, you can out right ignore them -- totally legal just so you realize). You can only be loyal and dedicated to 1 company we don't want you having another job yet the CEO sits on the board of 6 companies. If it gets you the paycheck it gets you the paycheck. Period. Welcome to 2024. Once the money is in your account the money is in your account. Be it a month or a decade. I know someone from high school that was a homeless junkie that literally lied to get a job as a mortgage broker and now runs the place making stupid money. What you can do.... What you can not do. He lied. He got paid. Even if they fire him today, the mans a millionaire -- he gets fired boo hoo. He's still got the houses and the stocks and the gold and the bank account **AND** now the experience to not lie the next time. I am always about empowering the people who do the job and actually make the money over the ones that simply get paid because they own the roof. If AI gets you the job, more power to you. Its a tool to use. They use it. So should you. This video was garbage and I cant get that time back in my life.
I got the job!!!! I promised myself I would come back here to comment if I got it. These questions work!!! Thank you soooo much! If you´re watching this now, just go for it and ask these questions!
How to interview for internaly only posted position? The interviewer will allready know my work style well. I have a disciplinary blemish on my record, my boss illigaly filed that is currently under grievance review by the Union and the company labour relations board.
Great question! Check out these two videos on internal interviews: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-S7eU33hsYR8.html and ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RGoMQFUlvVQ.html
