Sometimes i wonder, from who did Tim got this voice that was passed upon Jeff. A mother ? A father ? A relative ? What their voice sounded like ? Angelic as theirs ?
Much of this album sounds insane, eerie, haunted. This song made me feel happy and free. And there’s Tim on the cover with a genuine harmless smile. Good vibes.
May their god bless them all...... Thank you guys, for the wonderful material you gifted us. You and your music will last forever. Christopher, N.Z, 66 y.o.
i have this album siting on my desk top within arms reach. Dayle Stanley's music was a beacon in my life at the age of 15. I have her music to guide me as i live now, but silently in the past in the past. In the winter, after the snow
Nnicet! But lets analyze: The main melody consists of 10 notes). The bridge-melody of 7 notes .Thats all in priciple here. And thats why the 3-minute-hit is grazed off since about the beginning 80ies.All Hit-melodies(i guess about 10,000),respectively tone-combinations(pitch ,lenght) are released.
I have to say as and American I didn't know this record existed I've never heard the songs or seen a copy of it it seem to be his first record so it probably didn't get much play over here.
favorite part: the seagull bit, the verse about tom getting into the cadillac going out of the graveyard, driving back into the graveyard, and then getting out, and those insane guitar bits after all the verses
I had a dream. If I become famous, there will be a siren island so full of sirens. 50 sirens high, stretching 100 sirens wide… Out past the borders of Siren Island… They won’t fit on the island anymore… They will drown in siren loneliness…
I’ve been a “Van the Man” for over sixty years and it’s been a privilege to meet and talk with the man and collect his work. This first three albums are superb. This track is of course from his very first album after leaving Them.
I love this album. I remember when I was about 17 years old, ah so long, long ago, seeing this record in a record store. I was just beginning to take guitar lessons on Saturday's and although I did not know this duo, I loved the album cover. Kathy & Carol looked close to my age, a little older I guess then me and I wanted to buy the record. The liner notes and songs looked interesting when I read the back of the album. I couldn't wait to play it and just was so thrilled to find this great album!
Iiii just realized while driving that Venus de Milo statue does not have arms and that was the whole point of that line and for few years listening to this song all I could think was "low and Milo rhymes hehe."
I love how the song is structured just like a normal punk song but the only reason it’s ten minutes long is because of the amazing five minute long guitar solo
