It's my first time to plant yam in a bucket and it already bringing out leaves,but I didn't make holes on the bucket. Will the yam grow well? Or should I transfer to another bucket with holes?

Can this yam cut up for seedlings not be planted directly to get normal tubers of yam? I mean instead of seedlings if I plant the cut yams directly, wont it grow into a big tuber of yams
Wow!! I can tell you're not an amateur at this. I once ordered yam mini sets from the University of Ibadan (leading researchers in the field). I was mind blown how much work they have put into the studies. Unfortunately, US customs siezed my yams mini sets 😂 Thank you so much for sharing such amazing knowledge. I'll be getting down to growung my yams now.
