its amazing how BigH didnt leave Nigeria to settle to settle in another country to seek greener pastures. If you work harder on yourself opportunities will come to you no matter where you are
This is one of the best contents on RU-vid. Thank you BigH for sharing your thoughts and skills openly. Thanks Neil for facilitating this. See you in September.
Thanks for bringing Big H along. Have been following him for a while on Insta and inspired by his work and creativity. This was very insightful and great to hear the story behind his work and process and a lot more life and photographic gems he dropped. If you do a workshop with him, I will be interested.

There re many people for example just like me who want to create amazing pictures but the camera we use cant create amazing like that but we just keep pushing, so what advice will i give us @flashmaster a& @Big H
My question is what advice will Big H give to people like us who are using a small camera for example am using a Canon 650D and I create images with it, would love to create images like big h, but there is a limit to what my camera can create.... And I Come from a family that is not rich, and I have no helper to say I have someone who can gift me or give me money to buy gadgets at least more complex than my current canon 650D
Your camera is a tool. It does not create the image but you do. Practise a lot and learn the limitations of your camera. And work around them. As Big H says, learn light. Light or understanding is what will make the difference to your images. You do not always need gadgets but you can always improvise. And improvisation is the springboard of creativity. Work with what you have and over time, these things will come. My first camera was a 700D with a twin kit lens and that is all I needed to start. My first flashes were vintage flashes that did not have ETTL or you could adjust the power. All I could do was either move them back or forward and then got umbrellas to diffuse the lights and then A softbox. Light is light and understanding how to add it or subtract is what matters. Just practise and master your composition, understanding exposure triangle, posing, colour wheel, etc. you don’t need money or gadgets to master that. But that knowledge will transform your images and your style. Good luck.
My question is that how did u create amazing images wen it comes to events, cos like do u plan with the event planner or decorations to give u those decorations for u to create amazing pictures for an event, or how
Wow, feel utterly inspired to try some new things. Such an informative interview, thank you. But Ben talking about his own self-doubt, not only is that such a brave thing to talk about, god I feel it. All the time that battle to feel worthy to do what I do. And it really helps to hear others who are so successful go through the same thing. It sucks that he feels it, but what an incredible spirit to share it.
actually so glad i found this channel. as a photographer who is trying to master off camera flash, these podcast episodes are SO helpful. time to binge them!
Marilies, in my opinion, is probably one of or if not the best photographer in the world. Her style and composition matched with her creative flare is just unmatched!
What an amazing compliment - thank you! We agree, Marlies' work is absolutely beautiful, she is crazy talented and yet also so happy to share her knowledge with others. We are so proud to have her in the Flash Masters community
Been binge listening the flash masters podcasts on Apple Podcasts while I’ve been driving lately. Some fantastic stuff. I’ve learned that Helen is a bit clumsy over time haha!
