when I first watched the movie it lowkey gave me Heathers the musical vibes, years later I just found out that the girl playing McKenzie was the girl who played Heather Duke in the original musical 😭😭😭
Maybe it's just the fact that Julia Stiles is just a really beautiful woman but I personally think the fact that Kat's personality is like this makes her MORE attractive to me instead of less. She's different then other common high school girls at her age and she refuses to do what everyone else does cause they're superficial and fake. It could be just me but I think that makes her all the more attractive. She's different. Different then your ordinary teenage girl at that age. I dunno just my two cents
I think it’s because it’s genuine. Like it’s not some “put other girls down so I can get the guy” thing. It’s an “I genuinely don’t fit in with these people and I don’t want to” thing. She’s actually hurting and in pain
The whole „im not like other girls“ mindset isn’t only bad based on whether that girl really is like other girls or not, it’s about the principle. Everyone is unique in their own way and should feel free to dress, act, etc. without it being measured to how other girls behave. Nobody is better because they listen to rock instead of pop or wear dark colors instead of pinks and pastels. Stop comparing girls against eachother
It's because she's not doing it all to put down girls in front of a guy. She genuinely thinks about girls as too intelligent to waste their time on meaningless fun and focus on themselves
