I GOT THE LP. Near mint, great cover shot. She did another 1 on Cap, then was fired PAID $6 , july 88, The Record Exchange, Gravois Rd, St. Louis. Her 70s in Europe were a disaster, disco romps etc schlagers, evuhh saw her, 26-13 was here.

Corrections- 2 LPs for Capitol as you said but wasn't fired. She was living in Europe when the second album was released in both US and Europe but when Capitol learned she had no plans for return to US, was released from the contract. Not fired. Also, comment on her 70s in Europe being a disaster is utterly ridiculous given she sold millions of records, and was awarded a gold record for This World Today is a Mess, which she co-wrote. In 1974, she and Julio Iglesias were Discos Columbia's top selling Spanish-based artists. So no, her 70s wasn't a disaster but a period that brought her worldwide fame, though sadly not so much in US.

@@randallriley I M A jazz vocal purist. From that standpoint her career was ruined by goin commercial by the lowest common denominator i.e. disco - that was a disaster even 4 Baccara ntm Santa Esmeralda. In spirit ! Compare with Ernestine Anderson; she nevuhh compromized, but bit the bullet caused by disco. Thx to Carl Jefferson of Conc she made a comeback. Monetary gain is a form or artistic prostitution; it precludes /omits true talent by obfuscating it, not perfecting it. DH could have been among the top tier of genuine jazz ladies w Dakota and Gloria, soon after Sassy. No casting couches noplace, just pure joy of singing out of soul thru the American Songbook. Compare w Lorez Alexandria. 🇫🇮
