Hi everyone, I'm a new truck driver. I have always wanted to get my CDL and finally towards the end of 2021 I decided to do it. Even though this is not my primary job, I'm loving it! I've recently changed from driving for the waste disposal company to driving for an excavation company. I drive their dump truck and, when needed, I also run some heavy equipment for them. I'm also trying to grow my own side business "Haulin Trash" which is a junk removal service. I enjoy helping people unclutter! The business is doing well, and for now at least, it is paying for itself! Hopefully it will continue to grow! It's a journey for sure, but I'm really enjoying it! I hope you do as well!
@bobm9509 I would agree, with the right machine. With this little guy, you can't really adjust the bucket while you're moving. The controls don't work like that, so back dragging is much easier and far more controllable.
@@artrueda9100 It's from AGT Equipment. I got it on Ebay. www.ebay.com/itm/305707412644?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=jbnxxzckq4k&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
@trashratt Well, I'm staying pretty busy nowadays. Still not quite as steady as I'd like, but it's paying for itself. Covering the trailer, the mini skid, and paid for the grapple with a couple months worth of payments left in the bank. I'm thinking within the next year or so I may also get a roll-off set up with 3 bins and expand a bit!
@@haulintrash I had a log come out of a grapple bucket at full extension while in a Tak T12, smashing the window. Honestly, that 12,000-pound machine was barely enough for loading the truck and trailer I was using. It's totally my fault, but stuff happens. Stay safe, my friend.
These seem to be purchased more at auctions than directly. I have seen dozens of these sold at Richie Bros and other smaller auction companies in the 3000 range. I think 2 wheelbarrows would have ran circles around that though, literally.
No, I don't run it wide open. I give it enough juice to get the job done, but I don't like to run anything full throttle, just wears things out faster.
This is very true! That would be my biggest complaint about it. Each individual control can be operated pretty smoothly, but if you try to do more than one thing at a time it really doesn't work well. You can't manipulate the bucket while you are driving and that slows things down quite a bit.
If you open up the machine you’re going to see another little access for oil on the opposite side. That’s where the dipstick will be and you can just switch them around.
@@madgeniusstrategies5897 I dot really have any info on the tracks. From other vids I've seen, I think they are easy to get and around $400 with shipping. The tracks it came with seem like they will hold up well!
Thanks for making this video about your new grapple 👍 Any more videos on this skid steer I appreciate, I’m still waiting on the one I ordered, I possibly should have just bought one from an auction? I possibly will get my skid steer in about a month. The machine seems to handle the heat fairly well too.
@Mikefestiva Hi Mike, thanks for the kind words! You're right, the heat hasn't been an issue and it's dang hot here right now! It was 107 when we shot this video! The little mini radiator and fan for the hydraulic oil helps a lot. The metal lines still get too hot to touch, but it doesn't seem to be a problem. The engine doesn't seem to have a problem either, and it's just air cooled!
@@Gambit8121-i7v I'm glad to hear yours held up well! I paid $5k for mine. I might have been able to get it a little cheaper at auction, but I didn't want the hassle.
I use to live and work for few years. 😊😊 I got stuck here during the COVID. I couldn't go home. It's alright town 🤔🤔 town is too small. I hear 7:50 am in the morning 🤔 better getting off work. 🙂
