What a great idea and treat! I love being able to witness the process! What detail and creativity! …I think now I’m in the mood for Darjeeling and lemon….just amazing and so lifelike!, Thank you so much for sharing with us!🎉❤
Thank you, florenalemor19! I use a paper called, Pastelmat by a company called Clairfontaine. I would describe it like an extra-extra smooth sandpaper because it holds a lot of pigment in the grooves, so you can layer colors on top of each other without smearing everything around. Here's their link: www.pastelmat.com/
A new speed drawing a week? That’s fifty two drawings a year. And if you add in other drawings and paintings and just journaling, that’s a lot more of those than I can imagine doing in two years. It’s a beautiful painting! Thanks for sharing it. I have a large set of these Carb pastels and I’m trying to figure out how I want to use them. Some day it will hit me and I’ll just suddenly do it. Your work is wonderful!
Thank you so much, Jessica! I know, it does seem like a lot to publish every week especially while holding down a full time job! But I sure do enjoy it and I'm figuring out ways to be quicker and more efficient all the time. The paper made all the difference for me. I use Pastelmat paper by Clairefontaine. Good luck!
