Born in 1942 & this is 2024 and I'm older than some however I don't remember my parents songs but I remember my songs, late 50's, all the 60's, 70's, 80's and then wife and four kids 1/2 to full grown she went East and I went West or maybe N & S whatever! One day I shut of the radio and picked up a fiddle, then a mandolin, then a tenor guitar, Irish Bouzouki, mandocello and have been working on my own stuff ever since. Better? Not really but more fun on your own instruments and doing your own songs, mostly just play at church today, churchy stuff now still fun and folks still like it. Now I'm closer to the grave than middle age but music is still just as powerful as yesterday. Never give up, if it's hard to play then met and beat that challenge and just keep kicking ass musically I mean, leave theirs alone, it's a needed by-product after a good meal. Hi Budman. Thank you so much 💓 for sharing your personal story. You are proof that our God 🙏 in Heaven is still in the healing business. I only read your comment today. I really needed to hear it for I did so need someone to reach out to me. Just in a bad way without a support group. You reminded me that I am never alone. God has always been right by my side. When anyone has several chronic autoimmune illnesses, ppl kinda forget about us. Out of sight-- out of mind. Not anyone's fault. I can't compromise getting out with my immune system being what it is. And everyone has busy lives, jobs, families, friends... their own circle of ppl that they click with & just no time for anyone outside their circle. I believe God 🙏 will raise me up from all sickness so I can get back to church, taking my grandkids for fundays, helping ppl who are shut-in for whatever reasons, love the unlovable, be kind to all, love ❤️ every person unconditionally, & have the strength to do what God created me to do to reach ppl He puts on my heart to help carry their burdens. I have 4 sisters who all have big families and my brother's family & oldest sister's family but they isolated me when our parents passed within months of one another unexpectedly.back in 2004. My mom & dad were both my best friends as well as my parents. Then my brother got into a car crash 2015 & passed. My oldest sister passed in 3/2021. My niece 42 years young died instantly of a massive heart attack in 2022. So many loved ones I miss every day. Thank you again for sharing once again.
