Doesn't look very impressive for the yield it is supposed to be. Can't they just photorealisticaly recreate footage from an actual nuclear test with a similar yield?
This funny little plane game has no right being as cinematic as it is with detonation timing. Seeing the world flash in front of you and having to swing an Ifrit out of the way of the blastwave while breaking the sound barrier comes to mind.
Flightmodel is meh, many weird details like the laser-mgs.. but man, on "difficult" the dogfights are really fun! At least up high.. Unfortunately, near the ground, AI totally fails to engage the player propperly.
i love doing this kind of thing! always so funny. its also great for raids. Get in fast, smash and/or grab, and flee, often before the guards can really do more than get a few glancing shots in. ECM really helps by giving extra accuracy debuffs ontop of your speed. the spider and locust are also good for this kind of shenanigans due to similar or higher top speeds and smaller profiles you could do better tho, by staying at high speeds and only engaging when you have to. your always outnumbered, so its a good idea to preserve your armor as much as you can. just in case! additionally, the enemy wont fire on their own structures so you can use their base for cover
That was a pretty hard fight. That double PPC-x rig is amazing. I would've thought it'd run super hot in a desert map. I did something similar with a MAD but I only used it in cold maps. You're a brave man to give the AI PPC-X's. The first and last time I did my own teammate cored my medium mech on the back on the first fight. Lol.
no shit, like any real VTOL or helo pilot would even attack the way they do.. hanging just there in fragile little static close range hovers to get shot.
Yep, MW5 NPCs like to be pretty dramatic with absolutly 0 sense of timing. complaining about family issues to the cheap muscle you bought only out for a quick buck and in the process of burning a city? CHECK!
@@monostripeexplosiveexplora2374 I don't mind it as an objective, but sometimes they're spread out in such annoying spots that you just end up picking a fight with everything on the map
yeah, that Anihilator build is towards the brutal side: tier 5 heavy rifles with the 5% and 10% ballistic damage improvement perk and 2 LBX on top, the rifles to breach the armor and the LBX to fish for crits.

I think I need to start playing this game. Huge mechwarrior vet all the way back to the 90s. And I've never seen a more convincing clip for me to get back into the franchise than this video lol
I want to point out that our boy did this in a crab, lore wise, the only crab that can jump is the comstar one, that's considered a conspiracy theory by common battletech people, now take that then consider the pov of the helicopter...
If this was a good game, Ryana would have gone "YOOOOOOOOO, HE DEAD! NO WAY IN HELL YOU JUST DID THAT!". Unfortunately, we live in a reality where Piranha Games changed the name of the most popular multiplayer Battletech game to essentially the same name the least popular multiplayer Battletech game has, in an effort to drain it's already implausible future playerbase. But seriously, Spectre alone has more personality in his dialogues than every MW5: Mercenaries character combined. I don't care if this game is not linear; it's a 60$ game and it sucks ass.
