You've done an amazing job with this video. What were the key strategies employed by Cassie Reese Tipton, Gordy Guest, and John Smaligo as campaign chairs for Improve Our Tulsa 3? As someone who operates a dream interpretation channel, I'm curious about the symbolic significance behind their leadership styles and campaign tactics. I appreciate the dedication and efforts of Cassie Reese Tipton, Gordy Guest, and John Smaligo in spearheading the Improve Our Tulsa 3 initiative, and I've liked and subscribed to stay updated on your impactful work.

If you're really concerned about the future of Oklahoma children, you should be supporting the Green New Deal so America can meet its Paris climate commitments and leave our kids a livable world.

Here is a letter I sent last week to my Oklahoma politicians regarding the Bob Woodward audio tapes. I encourage EVERYONE to call and write their politicians! We have to stand up for what is right! Dear Oklahoma Senators, Oklahoma Representatives, and Governor Stitt: I am writing to you today in regard to President Trump's national response to COVID-19. I want to implore you to do the right thing and speak up about what is happening in this country. Bob Woodward's book "Rage," is bringing to light many ongoing issues in the White House. One of them being the President’s mishandling of the Coronavirus. When the news story broke last week, I was appalled and disgusted to hear that Trump knew how deadly the virus was as early as January and did not act accordingly. There are 19 audio tapes from Woodward's multiple interviews with President Trump. Based on the small amount of audio recordings that have been released so far, Trump knew early on how dangerous this airborne virus was to the American people. The fact that he knew as early as the end of January and did not inform the public, is wholly unacceptable. As President, keeping us safe should be his top priority. The thought that he could have possibly saved tens of thousands of American lives and he chose not to act early is overwhelmingly hard to grasp. However, the audio taped interviews prove that is exactly what he did. Knowing what this country has gone through this year and now knowing what the president knew in January is absolutely despicable to me. It is difficult to understand why Trump decided to tell a reporter instead of telling the American people. Especially when he knew the reporter was writing a book about his presidency and it would be published this year. From the very beginning, the way he has failed to manage this national emergency is a disgrace to America and an embarrassment around the world. If he had done the right thing, maybe tens of thousands of lives could have possibly been saved. Maybe thousands of elderly people in long-term care facilities might still be alive. Maybe so many Americans would not have died alone. Maybe so many American livelihoods might not have been destroyed. Maybe there would be more jobs available and the unemployment numbers might not be so devastating. Maybe thousands of small businesses and restaurants might not be facing bankruptcies. Maybe our children would be learning in person instead of through virtual teaching. Maybe our nursing homes might not still be on lock down with our elderly in complete isolation away from their loved ones. That last one is extremely personal for me because my mother is one of those people still locked down in a nursing home. The healthcare industry suffered greatly because of Trump's poor decision making. They were not prepared for what hit them in March. If he had warned the public in January, our medical professionals would have been prepared for COVID-19. If he had activated the Defense Production Act at the end of January, then our medical professionals would have had the supplies they needed to safely do their jobs. PPE, ventilators, medications, testing supplies and many other medical supplies could have been stockpiled early on for a “worst case scenario.” Instead, our doctors, nurses, paramedics, and other medical professionals had to wear the same N-95 mask for at least a week at a time. When the N-95 masks became impossible to obtain, our healthcare professionals had to wear homemade masks or bandanas. Protective gowns also became impossible to get, so much so that hospital staff had to wear trash bags to protect themselves. In some states, ventilators were so critically low that doctors had to start having difficult discussions regarding the possibility of triaging patients like they would have to do in a catastrophic disaster. They had to consider things such as who would benefit the most from a ventilator. Several medications were in critical short supply. Especially those medications needed to combat the devastating respiratory issues that come with Covid-19. Testing supplies were desperately needed to diagnosis those with COVID-19. Our front line workers were basically working in the dark as thousands of them died from COVID-19. Trump acted recklessly and without regard to human life and we missed our window of opportunity to control the Coronavirus. Although Trump did impose some China travel restrictions in February, it was not a complete travel ban. The February 7th Woodward audio tape proves he could have done more than travel restrictions to protect us. From the very beginning, Trump knew how dangerous this airborne virus was to the American people. He knew COVID-19 was five times more deadly than the flu; yet he continued to downplay the virus to the American people. He held multiple rallies between the time he knew about the virus and the time he told the public, which is completely unacceptable. The fact that he didn't cancel those rallies shows that he was more concerned about his campaign than the American people. He also waited until March 13th to declare a national emergency and even then continued to create confusion about the virus with his words and actions. He waited until March 27th to activate the Defense Production Act and even then he didn't use it to the full extent of the law. In the beginning, governors, scientists, doctors, and nurses were among the many Americans pleading with Trump to do more to fight COVID-19. They were fighting to save lives as they watched so many Americans die every single day. His lack of leadership and destructive actions lead to deadly consequences. To this day, he continues to ignore the CDC recommendations, such as wearing a mask in public, social distancing, and avoiding large crowds. He has made the simple task of wearing a mask a political and controversial issue in this country. It is beyond frustrating for those of us that are concerned about the virus to see Trump not wearing a mask in public. It is a simple task he could have done from the very beginning to set an example for the American people; especially for those Americans who don't believe the virus is real. Everytime he travels around the country to attend a meeting, tour a facility, or hold one of his campaign rallies, he blatantly ignores his own scientists and the Center for Disease and Prevention Guidelines. These actions exacerbate the many conspiracy theories that continue to spread in this country. His failure to lead by example is one of the reasons we don't have this virus under control. Trump's excuse that he didn't want to "panic" the American people is unacceptable to me. The right thing would have been to tell Americans the truth in a calm, informative way. We could have handled the truth and rose to the occasion like we have done so many other times throughout our country's history. Our country has been through difficult situations in the past and I am sure we will face difficult situations in the future. We are a country built on strength, endurance, faith, empathy, commitment, diversity, and many other qualities needed to make it through a national crisis. The "panic" came when our healthcare system didn't have the adequate supplies and CDC guidelines that were needed to protect Americans and save lives. We needed the truth from our President and we did not get it. The fact that he resumed indoor campaign rallies in June, shows his priorities are still not were they need to be in order to save American lives. That first indoor rally was here in Oklahoma at the BOK Convention Center in Tulsa. A large number of Oklahoma constituents in Tulsa county were extremely anxious and worried about the consequences of that indoor rally. They repeatedly reached out and pleaded with the Tulsa mayor, Tulsa city council members, Oklahoma governor, Oklahoma representatives, and Oklahoma senators to stop the rally. I was one of those constituents who called and wrote several Oklahoma politicians. We were extremely upset and disappointed with the final decision to allow Trump to hold that indoor rally. I think it showed poor leadership throughout Oklahoma. To be clear, I am in no way suggesting that the Coronavirus is Trump's fault. However, I do believe that he is responsible for some of the devastation that happened in our country because of his slow response time. Therefore, I hope Americans read Bob Woodward's book before they vote on November 3rd. I hope they listen to all of the audio tapes. I hope they vote based on these new revelations. I hope they block out all of the lies and political spins coming out of the White House and make a conscious decision based on Trump's inadequate response to COVID-19. I hope they vote in honor of a loved one lost due to COVID-19; in honor of a small business closed due to COVID-19; in honor of a job lost due to COVID-19; in honor of a loved one locked down in a nursing home due to COVID-19; in honor of someone who was evicted from their home due to COVID-19; or in honor of someone who survived COVID-19. On November 3rd, I will be voting in honor of my mother. She remains locked down in a nursing home and she is now on hospice. Everyday nursing homes remain locked down is another day our loved ones suffer alone. It didn't have to be this bad. Sincerely, Alicia
