Settle petal. I genuinely don't know anyone online or offline that would believe ONE bad word about Asher House, or you Lee. Anyone bad-mouthing you would be highly suspicious to all who know you or know of you.
You are the greatest dog advocate out there ! It's not the dogs fault they have been abused and treated with such cruelty. They deserve a chance at a good life if you feel they can be helped . If you feel that circumstances have made this animal a threat we stand behind you !! Please keep doing what God has called you to do and they will have to answer one day for what they are doing . No one should be in their position if they don't have a passion for their work as you do ! God bless you for giving these poor animals a chance!
Sadly some are just beyond saving, and that is when tough decisions must be made. You did what was best for the safety of your team and other animals. ❤
I am so sad this happened to you. We had to do this ourselves years ago. We rescued a Bassett who turned out to be so incredibly aggressive that she posed a danger to not only adults but children as well. I am very experienced in helping damaged dogs recover, including from aggression and its underlying causes. I spent several months trying, which also meant having to put her in a kennel every time someone came over. She repeatedly tried to bite me, including in my face. I have fast reflexes but knew she’d eventually win. I tried for several months and she made zero progress…and I mean zero. We are also talking about a breed known for being a laid back, couch potato, love everybody breed. My guess is that she had possibly sustained a head injury. My husband and I made the decision to put her to sleep. Thank goodness we aren’t a rescue or on social media. In your case you had a large, powerful dog which easily kill someone. Not to mention the suffering of the dog…the one we had was never happy, never relaxed. I strongly agree with you. As someone who has spent most of her 73 years studying human behavior and trying to understand our “dark side,” this is by no means limited to the rescue folks. People can learn to control that side of themselves but until that skill is taught society/nation wide, it will continue to create suffering and chaos.
Lee, you're the only rescue I've ever donated to, and that's because I can clearly see what it is you do out there. I'm from Canada, and I'm sorry this Beth person is awful. We have a cat rescue in my city that is also questionable. This lady hoards cats under the guise of rescuing them, and is spoken of as though she's some kind of saint for all her efforts. I adopted a cat a year ago from one of the other rescues. I spoke to her and did look at her cats, but she'd rather scold people and make herself sound so above it all than actually find these cats decent, loving homes. Nothing I said was good enough. Nothing. I've had cats my whole life, and am a retired vet assistant, so I know about cat health. My eldest just came back with perfect blood work, and I was told he looks significantly younger than he is - because I take damn good care of my babies. I know a bad rescue when I see it. You're not that. I know every time one crosses the rainbow bridge, they take a little piece of you with them. You care about all your rescues, big and small. Please, keep calling out the bad ones. Your voice is so much bigger than some of ours, and it needs to be out there.

Thank you for sharing this information and story. I've been in rescue for 10 yrs. No kill shelter in a different country. Over 200 dogs at all times. You called it correct about rescue organizations I'm here in the states now. It is all you said it is It's more difficult here. Now I volunteer outside of a horrible animal foundation pulling dogs out of there for adoption. It's ugly there. You can hear the dogs from 3 blocks away. Nearly 100 euthanized each week.
You are an incredible rescue what you do is second to none ... you right though having delt with numerous rescues they don't care about the dogs... real people real supporter know that you and your organisation put the dogs first
Too many of these people who run these "rescues" are just in it for the money. That's why I *only* donate to vet care/Amazon Wish Lists/Adoption fees. I no longer give money to the rescues themselves.
You and the team are doing amazing things and I appreciate you guys so much for what you are doing with these beautiful dogs and other animals! These haters are purely JEALOUS of you. Keep doing what you're doing we love you ❤
You can't save all of them some are damaged beyond help. It was better for the dog because it was living in a hell he could not understand. It's not inhumane what you did
Recues pull dogs that cost thousands to get healty ! 2) while leaving a beautiful and sweet / healthy dog to die!!! Usually save these mama dogs that noone knows what there bred with,so 10 more can come in the wprld! These littets are usually the kind of dogs that get dumped or “let wander” Noone wants to adopt them , so they push em on people to get that $$$$ They end up unwanted or dead or…?

WTH didn't they medicate him before the transporter got there? Clearly the dog needed a good physical/behavioral exam before the idea of bringing him to a sanctuary was even considered. It doesn't appear that anyone did the best they could before the transporter even got there or Lee could get a real chance at him!
They are all beautiful, happy to say the least. If only people take care of their furbabies, they will not end up in shelters. Thank you Lee &.to your team for giving them a chance at life. Hope Wish Pray they get to meet their forever family (home).
Sometimes there are challenges we must face head on and stand in our truths. You are a wonderful rescuer and man with a good heart. I cannot ever imagine a world where anyone knowly let something occur that could have been prevented...and it was with knowledge and compassion.
Some dogs have had a bad hand of genetics and experience to the point they are too dangerous to save. I’m all for giving difficult dogs multiple chances however there has to be a line. You did the right thing ❤️ thank you for what you do
Lee, I have watched many videos with many rescues, and you are a gift to animals in need. Do not let these evil people get to you. You made a decision that anyone that supports you knows was very difficult. It will be with you forever because that's the kind of kind, considerate and loving human being that you are. To all the animals that you rescue. Those that criticize and bad mouth you are failures at being human beings and I would not trust or care what they say. If it was a brain tumor or the like, you saved him more agony. You also likely saved many of the pack. Not just one. You would have gotten ripped for your dogs getting killed by him, as well.

You absolutely did the right thing Lee. I've worked in Rescue for a long time and sometimes that decision just has to be made for the betterment of everyone. Lee ,I know your very busy always and very compassionate about your digs and your rescue, I have accidentally come across some apawling RU-vid post were beautiful dogs are being killed and treated like gutter rats so that Asian people can eat them ,I have commented visouly and said its abourant, please give your opinion on this shocking trade ,its made me ill,I love animals ❤

Lee, almost all people are jealous and envious of others' successfulness. They like to point fingers and call out others mainly because of their own insecurities and ineptitude and greed! It helps them feel less insecure! They know what kind of person they are and they know you are the real thing! You are a HSP highly sensitive person. You wear your heart on your sleeve and you are transparent. People again are jelous and envious. You absolutely do whats best for you entire pack!! (humans and animals alike) You can only do, what you are able to do, for the good of the pack, which is more than almost any one else!! I know you feel sad because you cant save them all! However you try!!! Its okay to be angry at these rescue imposters and liers and haters! But please for your health, let it out, then let it go as soon as you can! You are better then they are! You do more then they do! You walk the walk and you talk the talk and you are genuine! ❤

People should be aware of the fake dog rescue groups/organizations who doesnt really care at all. There are so many around the World. And a lot of false dog owners who doesnt really take good care of their furbabies. These people are the root/cause why there are a lot of dogs at the shelters.
You do your Best, God will do the rest. Mentally ill dogs are not always saveable. You can't change these other rescuers'opinions. You went over and above to save this dog physically, mentally and financially. We know better. 🌹
This same thing has been happening for multiple years at the rescue/sanctuary I volunteer at. they’ve caused so much damage that very little money is coming in anymore. They claim they do it because they want to save the animals but in their effort they are hurting the animals, making it difficult to care for them the way they deserve. It’s horrible. I will never understand why people do things like this.
I've been in the same situation and the small rescue broke my daughters thumb trying to separate him from another dog. we eventually decided for his sake we had to euthanise him. When we did we first asked someone within rescue would like to take him. And NO One came thru. Don't let these comments get to you. hold your head high and continue the amazing work you doing, there's Always going to be some Loud mouthed know it all.
