Paul, hoping you can answer question. I live by a tidal bay in the south US. Lots of history from 1500s to 1800s. The bottom is sand. Rivers flow in from the north and empty to the ocean some 40 miles south. I want to get out off some of these old settlements in waist deep or so. Is it even possible to find old artifacts after centuries of these conditions or are they all too far buried?
hi there, it could be possible yes, you would really have to find a hard bed under the soft sand (like clay or Rock) this may involve digging a few test holes to see how far down it is, if you find some then search that area. of course wind and tide flow can affect sand movement and levels so what is in reach 1 day maybe out of reach the next. Hopefully you will find an area and have great results.

Nice work there Paul. I'm same as you with the kids, always give them a coin if they're interested and polite, that little spark of excitement works wonders! On sensitivity front, does running on less than maximum produce more targets for the deep stuff in your experience? I use an Equinox 800. Thanks. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
yes lower sensitivity will help you hear the faint deeper signals whereas running to hot you will loose them in the noise. the lad had a proper old school name aswell 😊

Thanks for the demo! This detector reminds me a lot of my first detector, the Dr Otek. Kinda basic but looks like it is good at finding coins. I quickly moved up to the xterra pro and then now the manticore. But i think this detector has a great place for someone starting out, especially at the price point!

😁 in the salty sea sand, such copper and bronze coins for so many years in such conditions of storage, the condition of such coins should be completely different
That's the beauty of finding them deep in the black sand they get no oxygen to make them oxidise and corrode. Once out they start to oxidise and go dull.
LoL. Chinese shit. When Minelab was sold by the original owner, garbage started to come. Who needs many similar devices. Elite, equinox 600,700,800,900 and manticore. These are hype devices when you could focus on a couple of quality products.
