ESCO Dispatch are you a fire fighter? I have a friend who is a firefighter, but he retired. He never told me about station tones. I never knew that the lights stayed on for 85 seconds.
That’s interesting to see the lights of different color go on when calls come in. I listen to police scanners and my late great uncle from Kentucky was a volunteer firefighter and he had scanners and radios in his vehicles so I’m familiar with the tones. But never seen what really happens inside a fire station when there’s a call.
That’s actually a pretty cool set up. Our station needs something like this. They’ve talked about it but nothing ever got done. How would you install something like this? We currently have nothing in our station.
Even though this was a test, I just feel bad for any firefighter that had a pager programmed to those tones. They set the tones off 3 times, which means any pager programmed to those tones went off 3 separate times. Hopefully they did that during the day 😂
What the name of this lighted multi-color system and company that makes it? does it work with digital signal, we switch from analog to digital signals.
Voice call, lights, buzzer then dispatch print out for my house. Meanwhile you get bunker on fire up engine etc, run without running. Every time I love it. Best job in the world, only job!!!
When I first joined the Service, it was bells, very large bells, very noisy bells! Changed to tones on speakers through out the station and message on the printer. Tones were loud but bearable, also all station lights internal & external would come on.. Worked every time!!
