Hi your steam settings are incorrect. They are set to MB/s not Mb/s. You can change this to get an accurate figure or simply multiply what you see there by 8.
@@mazz2001 it's superultra fast plus, it says we should get minimum of 400 but we're getting around 100mbs (at first it was 70 but its gotten slightly better) im paying £15 monthly plus £5 for the sky boost thing
@@relcnt I mean it really depends on your budget and what deal you wana go for. Im with vodafone currently on the super fast 2 paying £22 monthly for 74mbs however if you want speeds around 400 you should check out virgin media. But it all depends on where you live and the property location.
Gigafast is not consistent on a wired connection. Regular speed drops from 900 down to 3 to 4 hundred. Stable one day. Up and down the next. Engineers useless. Openreach are trash. Sky advisors fob you off saying you will never get 900 when I've got proof its been as high a 1105. Not happy for the money.
I got sky gigafast. Most of the time around 900mbps sometimes over 1000. But occasionally drops on speed tests to as low as 340. Should be more stable.
My speed occasionally drops right down from over 900mbps to 300 to 500 on a wired connection. Service is not non stop stable for the price. That is on speed tests.
@@stuart38 i fully understand it is good but with the amount paid problems should not be this regular and such massive drops. Especially when openreach are not exactly great at sorting things out.
upgraded to gigafast like a week ago from 500mbps havnt really noticed a differance when running speed tests still getting the same ping on games aswell do i need to wait 2 weeks for the speed to properly transfer over?
You shouldn't really need to get down to 500mbps. Most likely you are using wifi, which this is expected especially with Wifi 5. Please use an Ethernet connection which will bring it back up to spec.
@@matthew9739 £49.99 unfortunately I'm with openreach they don't offer same upload speeds as the download their max upload is 110mb I'm hoping for community fibre to come here soon.
I switched to this package and its terrible. (West london) I'm using ethernet, cat 6 and 15m long wire and it gets no more than 100 megabits speed test and steam downloads at max 3 megabytes.. My phones on the other hand on WiFi gets 450 megabits while near the router but then my pc on WiFi is too inconsistent. Downloads via steam vary too much (2 megabytes to 10) and speed test shows 150-250 megabits download In contacts with sky already but they really don't know and won't have anyone free to be sent out till end of the month You have any idea what's up?
@@deeceltic18881Depends where you are in the country. Fortnite have servers in London and Ireland. Plus if your on PC try using a paid software called ExitLag. I normally see 7ms in the Fortnite settings tab to Europe. I’m currently with EE on the 900/110 gigabit package. But I’m going with another ISP called Zzoomm next Tuesday. So I’ll get 900/900 for £39.95. In game it’s around 0-9. But using ExitLag it’s always 0 ping. Highly recommended paid software for PC players.
