I went there a few times when I was a kid. My grandfather and later my father ran a French Hand Laundry in Hollywood and Sammy was one of his customers in that neighborhood. He had black satin sheets that my dad laundered for him every week. Danny Thomas lived on the same block or around the corner and was another customer.
