As someone whos been raised on a farm an lived not far from yall , your best bet is a live stock guardian dog ,Great Pyrenees, had many of them, they are great at protecting your chickens also great with ur family esp where u have younger children, do some research on them youll find its a great fit for your farm!!!
I can’t eat peanut butter and banana together . Looks delicious when we build our taco salad we put the lettuce on top and salsa. We just had chicken salad sandwiches and salad tonight. See you soon ! 🌻🍁🌻
@yvettegerry9862 Thank you I hope you are as well. We were lucky and only some limbs down but power is down all around us and trees. God is just watching over us.
My sister-in-law has a asparagus patch and it tastes so much better than the store , I love it . The asparagus and hollandaise sauce would be so good with a poached egg .Everything looks delicious ! 🌻🍁🌻
I have watched a few things on this issue people have been using fake crow and owl decoys that are on wire that come out of the ground so they look mid flight and scarecrows also those blow up tube guys the ones the wave all around really help too just make sure to move them around periodically hope this helps
Hope you can get that hawk stopped from killing the roosters/chickens. Hopefully by putting the netting over the top of the chicken run...it will stop it. Every time I watch you and Noel working, I think to myself....those are really hard working people. You both do so much, it amazes me. I know I couldn't keep up now...I'm 73 and out of shape (but working on it). If I was 40 years younger, I could work beside you and Noel and do my part I think, but things change when we get older :-O Bummer
Beautiful squash, hope you get your cucumber and some rain. Your animals have such good care. That’s a lot of work. So sorry about the predators. Unbelievable how persistent and unaffected they are by your attempts to deter them. Sounds like the landscape material may work. I pray so. Val C 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Charles, try stringing RED plastic coffee can lids that can blow in the wind. Or nice size RED lids to container bowls. Aerial beings don’t seem to like RED objects flopping in the wind. We did this to save our garden from grackles and it worked!!
Charles, Justin Rhodes has a homestead also on RU-vid. He uses an interesting blowup that seems bizarre, however seems to work. I hope you take a look.
Charles and Noel I am so sorry I will pray 🙏🏻 for You that you get everything done You need to do How is Noel feeling God bless with You all Cathy 🙏🏻✝️☮️📿🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻I will pray the Rosary 📿 for you 📿📿📿📿📿🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
You did a great job trying to keep predators out. I have chickens and I have a heavier fencing around and something that is metal fencing on top with smaller squares or spaces. With a flimsy material for the top predators can still put their talons through and try to kill the chickens. Good luck and sorry for your loss
I really didn't know how difficult having a homestead could be. I admire how well you guys have been making it a success. Much love to you and your family. 😊😊😊😊
What a handsome rooster ! I’m not a farmer but I wonder if you could put up one of those pop-up canopies for the chickens you can even get them with sides and I think it would look great and be easy to get in for feeding the chickens ! You could even get blue ! Thank you for sharing ! 🐓🦃🐓
So interested in your ketchup recipe. A question as well. When you freeze tomatoes does it change the texture? I can while I have the tomatoes but it can be exhausting… I have a really bad back and can only do so much at a time. Wondering if freezing would help me?
