Nice work! I have ordered another pair of the old school cup and cone DMR V8s on my new DUOTTS emtb. In my opinion DMR pedals are amazing quality and value and the cup an cone design is infinitely adjustable, some of the best pedals ever made.
@diarmaidok I love the grip and feel of those Vaults but over 3 years ive had to rebuild them pretty much every couple months as they start to seize. Trying out Hope F22s on my new bike, been brilliant so far and a bit more grippy. Not had to service yet though so no idea on longevity 🤟
@@MTBTrailsAroundSurrey I've been running v8's only since the early 2000's and they have never failed me, I just blast more grease through the wee hole and all the dirt comes out and they are smooth as butter. Anything made by hope is built to last!
Tell me, is it possible to install the DMR-SVLT-KIT on the DMR V11 instead of the DMR-S-V11-K service kit? It seems that these pedals differ only in material, but the insides are the same. Thank You.
Same issue with my Ergon SM Pro after only 5 months of riding. You would expect Ergon to have worked out such widespread problems for the price we pay.
Customer service was useless aswell, so back it went for a refund. Had the SDG Bell air 3 since then, zero creaks but its not as comfy. Fabric Scope radius Elite is still the most comfy for all day riding imo
It's not too bad in the wet tbf, been riding it through the winter. Just the off camber rooty section near the end is a bit of an arse. Trails are running sweet at the moment arent they, was there yesterday morning👌
I got Haibike Alltrack 6 yesterday could not get Battery off bike that thing that slides along don’t move on my Bike key only turn 3/4 turn and stops do you recon my Cylinder need Service if does fix other ebike first as Brake levers touch Grips think needs Bleeding if does put better pads on which mean got change Rotor also
Not sure on the Alltrack, but on this frame you can move the two fixing screws up and down slightly to ensure a tight fit. Have you tried pressing the battery hard whilst turning the key, that usually works for me - Chances are the shop that set it up did an average job like most places. Make sure to double check all the bolt torque settings before smashing those trails as well.
Thank you for a very relaxing video. Will be attempting the service on my first pair within the week. They are slightly leaky at the seal, black grease coming out. And the left one is clicking like hell. No play at the axle though.
Hmmm, sounds like these might be just another round of the mill. Orginally bought them to try something else than my old Shimano Saints. Got fed up with having to service/adjust for play all the time. Only have 1 set of the gold coloured bearing cartridges left... keeping them for an absolute emergency.@@MTBTrailsAroundSurrey
1st ride on the new saddle. It's reasonably comfy but not better than a cheap Fabric Scoop Radius in my opinion. And that noise is just ridiculous, way way worse when you're riding 🤬
🤣 That's crazy talk pal. The highest point in the Surrey Hills reaches over an astounding 1000 feet. Way higher than Whistler or the Alps. Us Surrey folk can regularly been seen at the peak of Leith Hill with nose bleeds
Did you also manage to do the upper rocker swingarm where the shock is mounted? I've done all the bearings on my haibike but that upper rocker is a whole different story
I got a shop to do mine and they had a nightmare as even haibike couldnt advise them how to do it. Im going to make a mold to do them next time. Btw upper mount was 14nm, lower 8nms when i checked on mine
Forgot I had this clip from an Ebangers group ride at the end of summer last year. Great little trail with a large step up gap at the beginning (Can be passed to the right). Couple of cheeky sniper roots at 0.52.
thats the same place as my friends 2021 stereo hybride action team frame cracked. took a month but he got a brand new 2023 same model complete. result! i just ordered one. rides nice
Yeah I really liked mine for the very short time I had it, but back then Cube quoted in excess of 9 months to sort it out, so wasn't an option for me. Lots of carbon frame issues found online with my current eeb aswell, but Ive been lucky this time round - 4000 miles on it now and no issues so far 😀 (Touchwood)
It was a right pain in the arse for the ones that arent displayed on the bolts. The main pivot bolt on these is between 20-22, you have that spare 2nms so that you can fit the little holding screw inbetween the ridges of the pivot bolt
@@MTBTrailsAroundSurrey yea I have a haibike fullnine 10. And have been looking for the torque of the shock bolts. Haibike and my bikeshope won't give them to me and there is also no chart available. Also no chart on what bearings sizes, so I have to see it my self. Very poor service of haibike!
@ilive4games Haibike told me to ask fox for the shock mount torque settings, Fox advised theyre idiots and its down to the frame manufacturer. In the end I looked up the cube hybrid stereo recommended settings then used a torque wrench at lower settings, going up to see what they were set at. I have them written down somewhere, when i find them ill reply to your post
The bearings were fine tbh, its the bushings that wear out too quick and results in excess play - they've been replaced again since this video. The pedals have great grip but I won't buy them again.
Hey up Boots!. I'd remove it altogether if I could 🤣 - Rarely switch the motor out of Eco so I'd take keeping that controller safe over getting to the buttons quickly 🤘
I really like this trail bud. Definitely plan to tackle the gaps when its dry and I'm a bit more confident 😀. You probably know the score about giving out trail locations online, but their are a couple of good clues in this vid to figure it out.
you done well..tried riding it blind the other week.. will definatly give it another bash soon hopefully not as sketchy not to keen on the climb back up the road
If you want to build on your gap jumps, try Ginger Beer over on Ranmore. Have a look on my channel. If you can do the gap on Bombeholes you can do the ones on Ginger Beer. Just BIM the last one is a real twat in the wetter months. Brown Trousers at Mickleham is another 👍
