This is already imposing, though of course not totally satisfying to listen to as a performance, like you say. Some say, "if you want to reach speed - exercise slowly!" - have you tried that, too?
Yes I have tried playing it slowly - and it does sound a lot better slower! Absolutely correct. It is a struggle to force my hands to play slower though as I get carried away. Will need to go back to using the metronome again for a while to keep my fingers under control!
@@AliceLetts Carried away I think I understand 🙂 Though I think I have never heard of using a metronome to keep the tempo DOWN :-) If needed, could be good ... - Anyway, Hope to hear more of your development ...
Here is a video I made 11 years ago where I played this piece in 4 minutes. I would be interested to hear your thoughts on the comparison between the four minute video and the 50 second video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UZMEZp11t1s.htmlsi=axjV1_Yd2Qa2M2me
@@AliceLetts I've exercised several instruments so also imperfect performances interest me. Both are at a level I can never achieve. Hope still my word is worth a little 🙂 I actually find the earlier recording more appreciable. Then again, the recording quality and the first class tone of the piano in the latter stand out. But you are partly playing "a bit beyond your level". Seems youl'd be able to make a very enjoyable recording right away, just you get calm and concentration ... You might need many takes, though - count on two days' work or so(!) (That's the truth of recordings) ... I'll be glad to listen ... <3
The ancient Maori ancestral underwater cemetery. You are correct. People are not allowed to swim in the green lake, unless they are from the particular Maori tribe whose ancestors are buried there.

Yes, it certainly is! Especially on a bright and sunny day :) Am impressed with the videos on your RU-vid page on Rotorua - they look fantastic! An excellent use of the drone for aerial photography.
