Hello Sherilyn, first of all: Congratulations on getting married <3 We loved staying at the One&Only Le Saint Géran. Staff was extremely friendly and accomodating and the food of very high quality. We recommend a suite on the ground floor as you can just walk out of your bedroom, onto the lawn and the beach. If you're interested in reading our full review, please check it out here: thechillreport.com/en/2023/06/01/hotel-review-oneonly-le-saint-geran-experience-mauritius/
Hello Waleed, thank you for your kind words! There is indeed a bar on the ground floor as well as a restaurant (both for non-guests and guests). Sitting outside watching the hustle and bustle of the city is very nice. Breakfast is served in some sort of inner courtyard. I think that key cards were needed for the elevator but I am not 100 % sure of that.
@@joaosalta that's amazing, thank you! They can reach out via office@chillmedia.at I'd love to do some sort of interview for the platform The Chill Report (www.thechillreport.com); we could do it via e-mail for example!
Hello Sean, it was a One-Bedroom Beachfront Junior Suite at the ground floor and we highly recommend it. It comes with its own reserved cabana at the beach.
@@seandownes7513 Have a lot of fun there - you'll for sure love it. Our pro Tipp: The Sundowner Sessions at Le Badamier (you're sitting underneath the palm trees, the sky gets those vibrant hues and drinks are free from 4:30 to 6 pm) are wonderful, so is breakfast on the boat. If you're interested in knowing more about the resort, we invite you to check out our hotel review: thechill.at/en/2023/06/01/hotel-review-oneonly-le-saint-geran-experience-mauritius/
Hello @manon stovel -this trip took place in September of 2020 in Europe, so unfortunately I do not know the latest protocols. The safety protocol back then included pre-boarding PCR Tests and Vaccinations, wearing masks everywhere, not being allowed to do land excursions on your own, cruising with a maximum capacity of 50 % of passengers, a fully tested and vaccinated crew, daily temperature checks and a lot more, such as special air filters and quarantine stations.
To be honest, at the end of the day it was 50:50. Because yes, it was very different to every cruise before that, it all started with having to bring a PCR test from home (as we were travelling from a "risk country"). But at the end of the day we had more private space, the whole boarding process took longer, but was totally hassle free and there were like zero other guests. We had a lot of space for us onboard, you can use the gym, the pool and even some excursions were possible. The whole mask-wearing-thing is something we are used to from home, so that wasn't really new. Still, we wouldn't recommend taking a cruise for the first time NOW. If you are a huge cruise fan and can't wait to cruise again, then this is for sure a way to do it with the utmost precautions. :)
I just wanted to share my experience with a Tui Magic Life Calabria.... I know many of you have heard rave reviews about this place... that it is a "CLEAN" place. Great for kids. That by emailing them with a code you will get 30% off, early check in and a late check out. What we experienced was different. We emailed them, got a quote that was much higher than the internet sites. Which we showed them. Without the 30% off. Which didn't make any sense to us. (Even with an extra bed cost). When we emailed them, I mentioned how we were doing this for a special reason, celebrating a birthday. Our room was the total opposite of what the other person mentioned. It did not have balloons, cake, a letter, nothing actually! Until I had to mention it again to the front desk after complaining yet again. When I told them about the infested room, the maid came in the morning as scheduled and cleaned it up. Nothing else was done. When we told the front desk, nothing was done. No discount, no refund, no offers on how we can make up for it -nothing. When we asked for a refund, partial, full, nothing was done. We were not relocated to another room, nothing. When we checked in and via email we told them we wanted to stay and have the late check out. Per the discount code, we were locked out of our room by 11am. When we checked out they tried to charge us an extra 100+Euros for the late check out. With all this in mind, the infestation, the lack of birthday celebration, the overcharging. I just wanted to share with you that the one good thing was the beach, and the kid playground pool area. The kids did like playing on the water slides. That was good and like the other review, so was the AC. Beyond that, I personally cannot recommend this place nor would I until they get the infestation under control..... That is just my 411 input after the raving review I was told... this is what I experienced. Not my favorite place and I will not be going back!
