It just seems like another little form of government to infringe on your rights. It surprises me people will complain about federal or state governments but willingly live in an HOA.
The problems far outweigh any benefits and HOA's have far too much authority. Far too much leeway to create nonsensical rules and of course there is aways power trippers going out of their way to make life difficult for an outspoken homeowner.
