Nice work! The Hard Trail with the JTs wheelbase takes patience! We have a couple shots of your rig that in our video! Hope to see you again at the Fall Crawl
Spreading bs! The rougher ride comes from the changed angles. You aren't compressing anything with the spacer on top. Measure your coilover with the spacer on and off and you'll see. I quite enjoy my torsion bars lol 😂
you may be correct, but I can tell you with certainty that those longer struts made that truck drive much better than using the spacer/shock combo. Perhaps it was just a better shock. Either way, I have moved on from the F150 and now have a Jeep. Take care.
not sure on how much it is designed for, but it allows for some really good flexing with the front sway bar disconnected. The rear remains connected but the lift adds longer sway bar links. as a result it too has really good flex.
When you replace the stock struts with pre-loaded ones it will make your ride stiffer especially if you use your stock coils because your coils will now be compressed at all times giving you a stiffer ride, when you keep the original struts and add an extension (spacer) on top it will keep your original stock ride quality,,,
There is definitely wrong info here. The spacer on this lift does NOT affect preload like a leveling kit would. No different than the extended struts he is running. This because these kits come with all of the brackets necessary to keep everything to factory like spec
Just want to add the outputs of the wire colors of the badlands plug. Yellow-green = hot, black = ground, Blue = winch IN, Brown = winch OUT. Just in case your winch is not color coded to the badlands colors
sure, I have sold the f150 and no longer need this. I think I still have the old cover and wiring. Let me see if I can find it, and you can have it for free, just cover shipping costs. send me an email hemixx@att.net
i have a 14 f150 with a 6in could i drop it down to 4 with just taking out that spacer and putting a 4in block in the rear? if ever decide to go threw with it
So I have the 4 " on a 2000 silverado and wish I went to the 6 do I just need the front amd rear shocks and I don't have springs on the front or rear ..
No, the top spacer is the same size on a 4 & 6..the 6inch DOES HAVE a 2inch preload spacer..you need to compress your spring then install everything back. Just get a 6inch lift strut
Sweet video I own a Nissan Xterra with an an a hidden winch on a arb bumper winch cable somehow grabbed the control box and ripped it off now I have to relocate switch but will prolly do this instead. Thanks
Thanks brother. I was looking for that video over 6 months to get the answer you just give in few minutes of your time in this video and is clare what I want to do too Thanks again.
The spacers do not compress the spring. The spacer is bolted to the top of the struts then bolted to the bucket. The ride is affected by altered angles, not spring compression. You do not need a spring compressor to replace struts. Un bolt, the uca and sway bar ends pry down on lower control arm.
No, you do not. The 4" lift will come with a 2" spacer as it will level the truck. Personally, I do not like a levelled truck. So to maintain the rake, I went with the 6".

10-06-2021 To keep that pin from rusting just squirt some gear oil in there. It won't interfere with the electrical connection but it will keep it from rusting. Or cut a piece off a cotton t-shirt and put it in there to soak up condensation .
Nice vlog. I like that you shared your mods. Could do with a lot less “Uh’s” and repeating yourself. Maybe your later vlogs are easier to watch. Most people just want the people making the vlog to get to the point. That’s just my opinion and I’m sorry if it sounds critical. I do in fact appreciate that you shared your mods.
Cool. I’ve got a dirt cheap HF winch and bought dirt cheap generic remote but can’t figure out how to connect it. There is no relay as far as I can tell. 12 volts go into wired remote and when you push the button 12 v goes to one side or the other on winch motor. Anybody?
