CUT THEM OFF AND TURN THEM OVER TO THE DEVIL FOR A BEATING SO THAT THE FLESHLY REBELLION IN THEM WILL DIE OFF AS THEY SEE THE LOVE THEY REFUSED IN THAT THEY REFUSED CORRECTION AND LOST THE GREATEST GIFTS FOR IT AND JUST MAYBE THEN THEY WILL TESHUVAH IN TRUTH, REPENT IN TRUTH AND RETURN TO THE ANCIENT PATH OF LOVE WHICH GOD GAVE THEM, THE TORAH. Lunar conjunctionist here. I see the pattern as being total darkness (new moon) to total light (full moon). This pattern is a common theme all throughout the Bible and is the only pattern that makes mathematical sense; the two periods of lunar waxing and waning being perfectly equal and in sequence as any good clock should be. I see lunar sighting as a very early Babylonian tradition adopted, maybe forcefully, during the exile along with the Babylonian/pagan names for the months. Calendar instructions were given to Moshe pre-exile, therefore 2nd Temple and later Talmudic witnesses to the sliver do not influence me. Also, the story of David, Johnathan, and King Shaul where David spent multiple nights in the field during the King's New Moon celebrations never quite jived with a crescent-sighting understanding for me; if they were using a lunar sighting method then there would be no need for a multiple day celebration in my opinion. Finally , Yeshua's Pesach occurred the night before the Pharisees. Chalk that up either to a conjunctionist/sighting discrepancy or a beginning of the 14/ending the 14th seder meal dilemma, who knows? Point is, there was obviously a timing and/or calendar issue between His understanding and the 2nd Temple Pharisee's practices. These are my understandings. To each his own. Shalom.
I failed to mention that there was no new instructions for determining the new month when YHVH told Moshe, "This shall be your beginning of month" (Ex 12:1, I think). Therefore, they already had a calendar established. Since they were in Egypt the previous 400 years, and a major portion of that time in bondage, I believe it is safe to assume that they were using an Egyptian calendar when YHVH made this statement. There is evidence that in early Egypt there was a ceremonial calendar utilized that determined the New Month based upon the lunar conjunction. The way they determined the conjunction was by observing the disappearance of the waning sliver. The next day would be declared the New Moon (their day was daybreak to daybreak rather than the Hebrews sunset to sunset). And then the waxing sliver would be observed to verify the New Moon's/lunar conjunction's accuracy. It's highly probable that this was Moshe's Egyptian/wilderness calendar. Shalom.

There must be hundreds of different Sacred Name groups most of them with their own version of how the Tetragramaton should be pronounced, and all of them ignoring the core meaning of the Hebrew word for name. Even those fully conversant in Hebrew grammar canott agree on the correct pronunciation. All of which indicates that the original, correct pronunciation has been lost, and the Holy Spirit has not deemed it of sufficient importance to preserve this knowledge.
I came to many of these same conclusions through my own research close to 20 years ago. You are spot on, Brother. Also, being a Jewish follower of Yeshua I agree with your assessment of people in various movements making up their own histories which have no basis in fact.
interestingly, wasn't it also the Malak YHVH who introduced Himself to Moshe as YHVH, rescued Yaakov from Mitzraim, and spoke to them the ten devarim from atop Horeb? Thankfully, Shaul and Yochanon both teach us that YHVH's Malak, Yeshua, is the Creator God.

For example, King David could not just offer a sacrifice to atone for his intentional murder of Uriah. David was doomed were it not for Yeshua's blood.
