US The Fans are supposed to attend these concerts to see our favorite band play the songs we have cherished for years, decades even, in many cases...so, when we read how fucked up the story of this band is when it details the sordid shit that has taken place between SCHON & CAIN & Former other members, it is really disheartening, to know that the guitarist is a tyrant. When we pay our big $$$ for a concert ticket, we want to believe it is going to good cause. What good cause in the case of Journey, is a big dilemma. When you know that Schon is a paranoid freak posted 2 off-duty cops outside J. Cain's dressing room during the 2022 tour, and even went as far as send his wife Michaele to go sniffing around inside only to get caught...wtf!! was he looking for...?? Schon the control freak: Cain performed for Donald Trump and used Journey hits. Schon was furious, sued Cain...You could see the football-field size distance between these 2 during the 1/27/2023 concert in Chocktaw Grand Th. in Durant, OK. Damn!! Arnel was caught in ther crossfire, because he has been doing his best NOT TO OUT-DO former lead vocalist STYEVE PERRY, but with the lack of new material coming from SCHON / CAIN songwriting partnership, he is in a GREATEST HITS OUTFIT at this point. Schon, The Litigious Freak: suing his late ex- mother in law for what he alleged she smeared him in the press, calling him a deadbeat dad...damn! Then there was the ROSS VALORY STEVE SMITH Fiasco, damn damn damn!! Then the JOURNEY AMEX card shit-uation!!! WTF...Oh, I remember the TV advertisement for his famous PPV wedding...who controls who/what/?? CAIN nad his wife or Schon and his wife, what a fucking sordid soap opera, General Hospital? nah, The Bold and The Beautiful not even close to what JOURNEY is all about...and to think that I regurarly go back to my bootlegs and archival videos, listen and watch them with fanaticism!! I love the fact that Neil has completely forgotten about his beginnings, ignoring gems like KOHOUTEK...songs off their 2nd album in 1976 are great! Nothing off NEXT [1977],. Regardless I still love the band and the music, the stuff behind the scenes is just deplorable. Let's leave it at that. Journey CAN STILL ROCK with the best of them, but not with STEVE MILLER BAND reduced to opening status...not for cheaters like DEF LEPPARD who now use backing tracks. BTW - If I did not mention it, Schon still remains a BRILLIANT GUITARIST...
You know I haven't thought about this band for like 20 years. Then like 6 months ago someone played 3 dollar bill and now I am watching bad cam videos of Limp Bizkit on YT and loving it.
