This vid was suggested for me by RU-vid Premium. They got it right. This is my beautiful wife Carol Lloyd who tragically passed away on February 13, 2017. The day before Valentine’s Day (when Carol would go totally OTT with gifts for me - usually a cruise) Our dear friend Bob Blasdall recorded this night of amazingly talented people, where Carol and I got married. She died four years later. 💖 Thanks for listening.

Blew me away as a young fella in concert in front of Brisbane city hall, probably as part of Warana in 1970 or 71. Great memory

The song kicks in around 2:40, with the familiar flute melody. Kudos to Carol who happened to drop into a Cooparoo RSL around 2009 where our covers band was playing. Matter of Time was on the setlist. She was gracious enough to say some nice words.

I only just discovered the 1974 original this week. What a song ! And what a fantastically representative arrangement on this track which to me sounds little bit 'Woodstocky', a little bit Jethro Tull and prog rock-esque. VALE Carol.

Farout , I just found out a minute ago that Carol had passed away , That,s really sad news , when did this happen ?? I was just telling a work mate about when i seen her band "Railroad Gin" at the Pialba hotel ( Hervey Bay , Qld ) way back in the 70,s and how absolutely brilliant this long red headed chick could sing . RIP Carol , your songs will always be played .

Every time I watch this video, I smile and cry at the same time. Grew up in Brissy. It was bands like Railroad Gin that paved the way for the healthy live music scene I enjoyed in the late 70's early 80's. RIP Carol.

gee Mark this is a really late reply - no it was at the State Library. Carol gave a concert & invited many artists to also perform at what she called Carol Lloyd's Party of a Lifetime. She married Annie that night also.
