We make good progress by using mykotherapy medicinal mushrooms (in Germany). They are working like "soothing" and as nerve stabilizers. Also detox and anti-inflammatory. VERY helpful! Plus: We pick them for free in our local forest. 👍👍

My mother is 89 and violent. She refuses water and food now. Really horrible things she says. She's been in mental ward for 6 weeks, no one will take her, she's actually frightening. She had mental illness before the dementia. We don't know where we go from here.

Hello, I can recommend mykotherapy medicinal mushrooms to at least calm down the symptoms. I have tried them with my husband just a few weeks and it helps, he's still reasonable and more awake mentally. Do some research on e.g. Reishi or Lions Mane with dementia, but you can even find some others in your local forest. Greetings from Germany!

My wife started mental change a couple of years ago of normal bi-polar towards child like with this absolute need to cut in font of me like a 3 year old needs to cut in front of daddy. Also not doing what I asked but progressed to, I asked her to look on her right but instead looked left. Now major problems finding the right words to incapable of knowing what I ask her to do. Five years ago I have gone from what the heck is she doing now to softly guiding her to where I want her. She is now 59 years old. 10 years ago or so she would combine words sorparate but ment sort and separate.

My wife has PPA and cannot speak. We can tell by her body language if she is uncomfortable. Usually that means she needs to relieve herself or has a dirty/wet diaper. True she cannot speak about pain but I am sure I will know when she is in pain.

HOW MY HUSBAND GOT CURED FROM Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). I lost my Dad to ALS 5 years ago, he suffered from the dreaded disease for 6 years with his doctor telling us he can’t be cured and all the therapies and life support machines could not save him and 3 years later my husband was also diagnosed of the same disease and I was devastated he fainted when the doctor read the diagnosis because he knew how deadly the disease is. His condition worsened and he was unable to move and he was confined to the chair the direction the disease has taken with his body is the gradual deterioration of the “Bulgar muscle,” which controls breathing, swallowing, voice, and tongue movement. His neck muscles have weakened to the point that he can’t hold his head up and the left side of his body is weaker than the right , the doctors told me all his muscles were dead, he was able to eat via a machine because he could not swallow anything. I searched and tried different neurologists and different medicines none worked and I was so scared to lose my husband. While running up and down seeking a solution I met my friend from third grade and saw me all worked up, we got talking and in the process of discussion I told him all I am facing. He felt sad and told me about Dr. Sani who was able to cure his cousin. I was interested and he gave me his contact. I contacted him and he sent me his medicine and in a space of 4 weeks he was up on his feet again and in 6 week here covered fully. He can do normal things like walking, eating, without any assistance whatsoever. I am so amazed at the potency and effectiveness of his medicine. I decided to share my story for you not to lose hope or feel your world has ended. Simply contact him by Email: perfectherbalcure@gmail.com OR WhatsApp / call +2348118184266

I am not going to watch anymore on the Shrinkage of both frontal regions of brain. Why, when a Dr. diagnosis me. I will live as I am. To much for me is to much! Everything about me can all be healed back to the original coding if I could just get there... Meaning the trueness of me. It was my Birth Right. I have just lost it. Due to all the Karmic debt I had to carry from this and pass life. But, it can back to the original format.

Why try to prevent infections and pneumonia when the patient is at end stage dementia? Isn't it better to allow these things to happen and shorten the suffering? Surely they have no quality of life.

I'm somewhat on the fence about this topic. A possible rationale would be that an infected bed sore(or any other condition)can be very painful. No need to place anyone in a situation that causes added pain, especially towards the end of life. Also, it would be traumatic for family to witness the effects of aspiration, especially if they realized that they might have been able to possibly prevent the incident. I can only imagine what grief that would bring them.
@Dinngg0
@Dinngg0 3 года назад
Care decisions should be made with quality of life in mind. Putting a severe dementia patient into a hospital hooked up to IVs in an attempt to get rid of pneumonia, knowing it will just return soon, is cruel. However, getting a flu shot or giving oral antibiotics to clear up a painful UTI makes sense.
