The Piano strokes and choral sounds in Lower Brinstar (Super Metroid) find their use with real piano strokes and choir in Phendrana Drifts (Prime) a decade later. It is nice to see the musical legacy of the older games evolve and take new shapes in the future iterations
Most of these sound rather unsettling than relaxing, although I think Tallon Overworld, the Crashed Frigate, Phendrana Drifts, Torvus Bog & Skytown are really pleasant to listen to

Man, I just hope one day I could make something that scratches that creative itch that Metroid’s world and atmosphere gives me. A story, a game, a piece of music, just something that conveys the visions and emotions I feel when I see, hear, and play these games. It’s just so…….unique to this franchise specifically. Whenever I boot up Zero Mission or Prime 1 or yeah Super Metroid I just can’t seem to get them out of my head. Maybe it’s the music, the mechanics, the consistent atmospheric qualities, i have no clue but it’s just something about these games and the story they tell me that just makes me yearn to be able to do this kind of thing. And I feel like it’s something that’ll rack at me till I’m long gone.
@@HunterVGM 5 years later we got 2 metroid games for this new generation of gamers and both of them are pieces of art (Dread and MP1 Remastered) :D Thank you Papa for this amazing compilation

Simply immortal ❤, you feel catapulted straight back to your childhood; 1994, my 14 year old self spends hours trying to morphball bomb jump a ridiculously high cliff only to come across a hidden door that won't open. It's unbelievable how quickly time can pass, almost 30 years have passed since then and you suddenly feel old although it was almost like yesterday in your head.
Trying to do homework with this, but I eventually lost focus because I was too busy vibing with Hydro Station. Truly a masterpiece, and I hope someday to be as good a composer as the person who made it.
Listening to these while playing Minecraft is quite the surreal experience. Some of these fit really well with Minecraft, like the Marida music and the Deep Dark.
