the theory is nice, but the problem that happens is its stated the heart virus happens to more people, if i remember correctly the quote was "multiple cases of the virus happened shortly afterwards and it became rather common" though thats what i remember, its something future trunks said when talking to goku when giving him the medicine
My question had always been, if the disease was contagious as Trunks had stated, then how come neither Gohan nor Chi Chi ever catch it when they were the closest ones to Goku, and it would have been unlikely that they had known about the virus in the future, yet we don't see Future Gohan or Future Chi Chi dying from such virus, so it really begs the question on how the heck was a cure even found, and then if you have to account for how the Androids had then started destroying the world, people were basically living in apocalyptic times with limited resources, so that is why that cure just doesn't make a lot of sense, or how even was Bulma able to make her Time Machine since even in Super where she didn't have the same limitations, she struggled a bit to get more of the same fuel source.
Really liked the video, its a theory I havent heard before. I'm still a believer in the Yardrat theory. If they bothered to make a cure it must have been a common disease that many people had. Goku brought it to earth and it probably just spread to other people. Goku was patient 0 and a bunch of other people got it after him. That's probably why they made a cure. I also think it would be really strange to show a bunch of different people with the heart virus. Also yamacha and chi chi literally say to drink the medicine because they might get it from goku. Also a virus that effects the heart is a real thing, which is I think why it's called a heart virus and not a heart sickness.
@@SacredSaiyan Kaioken increased blood pressure, popping out veins and swelling the user's muscle mass. This information alone is because Goku pushed himself to kaioken x4 and pushed his body more, if the kaioken came at a cost then that cost could have been the heart virus

The Ultra Divine Water? I think that's plausible, but I don't think so. Besides Goku, Yamcha and Yajirobe also drank from the Ultra Divine Water. Unlike Goku, Yajirobe only takes a sip, so it is understandable he can't get the virus. But Yamcha did drink a full cup just like Goku and he didn't get the virus. An explanation can be made is that Goku's Saiyan DNA mixed with the UDW created the virus. But if that's the case then, Why Gohan and Trunks weren't infected by it? Being Half Saiyan is not a good rebuttal since many Earthlings died of the Heart Virus too. I think the Heart Virus was created by Gero in order to kill Goku if his androids failed in his quest for revenge. Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, The Red Ribbon Army led by Magenta and Carmine had a front company named "Red Pharmaceuticals". They could have gotten the data from one of Gero's Hideouts and managed to produce a vaccine for the Heart Virus. I know Super created a lot of retcons, but I want to believe in the late Toriyama-Sensei's ideas he added in this sequel to Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z.

I think he got it from the Hospital he was in after the Saiyan Saga, he got early Covid. But on a serious note, it's probably from the environment he got from Yardrak(idk if that's how its spelled), like when colonization, a lot of ppl get sick/die from foreign factors.
I have a simpler explanation Goku DID get the heart virus on earth however the technology at the time just simply wasn't enough to cure it And if bulma was able to figure out what caused that virus that means other people have also gotten it as we all know when goku dies he gets to keep his body in the after life but we cant confirm that for the future timeline since goku didnt die in battle You can say the same thing for "why didnt bulma make the time machine in time before future gohans death" cause she didn't have the technology
issue with that is, the db earth is far more technologically advanced than our world and bulma is bulma, she has all the resources in the world at this point so she could easily make a cure, she didnt make a time machine earlier because 1. she didnt immediately come to the idea of building a time machine and thinking its even possible 2. she no longer had the near infinite resources she had previously due to the androids doing there thing
@@SacredSaiyan heres the thing goku died from the heart virus very quick there was no way for bulma to prepare the cure therefore the technology was limited And if goku was the only 1 that had the virus that means bulma would of have to run some test on his dead body which I doubt that's smth she would do and like I said we cant confirm if goku kept his body when he died Also bulma had already figured out time travel by the time all the z fighters were dead and had the time machine already some what built when future gohan started to train trunks but lacking the sorce for fuel and other stuff therefore she didn't have the technology either
Yeah no I’ll stick with the second theory it just makes far more logical sense. Even trunks said the virus is something with a cure for it that is common in the future or at least medication they don’t make medicine for poison and they don’t confuse the two either.
I thought Goku had a heart attack because he ate too much bacons. Just kidding. That sounds good and all but remember what Future Trunks said, a lot of people caught it during the time Goku caught it and died. Not as kid Goku but as adult Goku. The pandemic probably wasn't wide spread as majority of the world didn't get it. Goku was just probably unlucky and caught it.
I REALLY like this idea of how Goku got a heart virus, it has a perfect in-universe explanation instead of being a fan speculation based on minimal evidence ☺
When saiyans past their biological set limits their body gives them a final test , which I think is the heart virus or heart problems a biological near death experience to evolve thier bodies because they broke thier natural limits prime examples are ( vegeta heart problems on namek, gohan illness in time chamber and Pan fever in super) when this is happen and they past the test they rest for a long time, now that ultra divine water theory is good but no other saiyans never drank any, aslo the medicine that was made in trunks timeline is because of bulma who is a genius who properly used vegeta as test subject because he a full saiyan and properly unwilling told her that he took alien medicine on namek which for his heart as well

i'm not too familiar on autopsies being used to help find a cure for any given disease. but given that the cure came from the future, i mentally understood there may have been other victims until a cure was found. not necessarily an epidemic, as you said, but enough people suffering that research was done for a wide range of patients until it was finalized. at least in the real world, that's how it would've gone. but we remember Bulma is a super genius, so she likely could pull off something that amazing
This is my counter to this: A virus is a pathogen. While its possible that the sacred water could have been the source of contamination. A virus in itself is not classified by the medical community as a poison. A poison is a chemical. A virus is a germ. Meaning that while its a subject a debate wheater viruses are alive, a virus is a microorganism. What you seem to be describing is stress related heart disease, or in the medical community: Stress Cardiomyopathy brought on by all those years of abuse that Goku puts on his body. While they may have similar symptoms, is a completely different thing than a virus. As they stated in DBZ, its a virus.
I have small diffrent theory. I do agree it could be posion but I dont think it was the water. What we should also not forget is that Gokus apperance of the heart virus is diffrent in Trunks timelime. There Goku died because of the virus before the android attack. In the main timeline he got the virus durning the fight with 19. I think Goku was poisoned but maybe due to one of Geros spy robots In Trunks timeline here had time to create the virus send one of those robots out before the attack since he finished 17 and 18. With Goku gone the biggest threat wasnt anymore around. In the main timeline the plans changed because 18 & 17 were do rebellious so he had also create 19 and make himself into 20. So he couldnt create the posion and send out the spy robot in time and did it just before the attack thats why Gokus symptomes came later in the main timeline. In Trunks future they may than stumbled one the formula of the virus while searching for way to beat the androids.
that is a theory ive seen before but i just think if the virus was because of gero, he would of never created the androids in the first place since he wouldn't need them, he would just give it to goku and if he wants the other z fighters
@@SacredSaiyan True but we dont know, in case he created the poison, how long the it takes to create it and how difficult it is to get the supplies for creating it. He might just could created the poison once because of that. Other than that even if he killed Goku and the Z-Fighters he still wanted world domination and would had to battle basically every single army on the world. On top of that he also knew about frieza because of the spy robots so he knew that there were in outer space also threats for him. So the androids would still be needed.
Thinking about it that she makes the most sense since he was the only one to have the ultra divine water and bean a saiyan cells to adapt to it. However, it's still poison, so the long-term effects over time was killing him. So I 100% agree on this confirmed reason why he got the heart virus;why is nothing other than Poison! ( You may want to tell other what if dragon ball youtubers the big news)
because Korin said it himself, it can increase your power or it can literally kill you, like how it killed every person who drank it before goku, its called poison in dragon ball itself
