My experience with my scones before these scones and after these scones: 1. Made a scone recipe and all the butter leaked out and made them as flat as pancakes. 2. Looked on the internet on how to make my scones less flat and then came across a video. 3. Watched the video and was in enraptured by this ladie’s sweet and lovely personality and the scones looked good too. (also I was out of butter so if I could use oil…😀) 4. Decided on the fly that I’d make these scones. 5. I was scared the dough would be too wet but it looked and (I thought) it felt just like her’s. 6. Cut out the dough in circles and hearts and made 27 scones compared to my other one which only made 8. 🤯 7. Watched them while they were in the oven and watched them rise like the sun and puff up like if my dad got stung by a bee. 🐝 8. They came out of the oven. . . . . . (heart thumps) 💗 9. They came out. . . . . . . absolutely PERFECT! 🤩 New favorite scones recipe! ❤ Thank you so much! ….They taste great too! 😄 don’t think I forgot that part. 🥰
Superfood. Tasty. Pure protein. 50 cents a kg where I am. Perfect for budget health cooking. Going to try hearts and gizzards next. Beef liver has been discovered and now costs a lot. Tongue as well. Sigh...
I need to know what size cast iron she is using. I am trying it right now but I think my pan is smaller than hers which yeah...could be a problem. Please add the pan size you are using and thank you!
It turned out but I only had an 8 inch skillet. So I tried cutting back to 2 cups of flour & 3/4 cup water. I also have induction top so I babysat it, started at mid level heat/5 then after about 4 minutes lowered the heat to/2 and rotated and cooked it very low like that for about an hour. Next time I will cook it a little less like maybe 50/55 minutes as this one is done and bottom is *not* burned but a tad too done, but good enough for first try. Thank you for this recipe. I look at some cooking projects as science projects and I will make this again.
My question is, I couldn’t understand what oven degrees. 😅 Was it 335, 345, or 385. I couldn’t understand what she said. I’m going to have to guess. Maybe 335 because it’s cooking for one hour? Oh noooo 😂
Looks great! The only thing I would change would be how you put the seasonings on. I use an old bread bag,and put everything in the bag and shake. Cuts the mess down to nothing.
