Seems like it could be a great product if made more robust and paired with better customer service. There are plenty of makers of smaller scale things (dioramas, terrain…) where this could be a great compact solution. The company’s customer service sounds disappointing. I think they would have perhaps done better to work towards a higher price point but make it reliable and effective. They’d sell more units if it could deliver on its promises. Thanks for your thoughts. Looking forward to some reviews.
I bought this Power8 After using it for a couple weeks as a table saw The battery came loose Now it no longer works Even when it's plugged in you still can't use it as a table saw drill press or jigsaw Call the company and I've got nothing but the run around saying someone's going to contact me this is going on for a month I Facebook the company There is no post from this company for several years If you look at profiles of people who work for power8 It says former employee So basically this companies going out of business And they will not stand behind their products
Thank you for your sincere candor. Semper Fi, A Combat Marine, OUT PS I will not purchase one of these until the company wakes up and does the right thing: Ethically and Legally.
I noticed the similar features and lack of transparency with the updates. We have been expecting some great hands on videos, demos, and seeing it action. That's not the case. Just buying time and seeing how long we can get strung along.
wobbly chuck - checked. looks like cheap plastic toy from China - checked. laser level that's probably off by a few degrees- checked. underpowered motor - I'm sure it's there. Time to throw away that crappy Milwaukee of mine straight to the bin for this. PLEASE GET REAL
It's OK that you don't like the drill😂😂 but claiming that the level is off by a few degrees, why? 🤔 And this is a prototype drill in the video so that explains the wobbly chuck👍 but I agree that it is underpowered👎
Simply just judging by appearance of it, looks cheap and nasty. Even for a prototype. Pretty sure, that a wobbly chuck for a demonstration purpose is not the best idea. So simply I wouldn't have any hope for other components to be an ok quality.
Alright, I think it looks decent and I'm not throwing anything away😅 so I'm going buy this drill and hope it will do what they say it will do. You have to remember that they have been working on this drill for more than 2 years so I definitely think that they have made sure that the level is stable, touch screen works well and the laser works as it should
@@toollearningwoodturning6644 I'm having fun so I will reply, but this is my final reply. so assuming you would work on your drill prototype for two years. Would you use chuck that screams : Hi! I'm so wobbly and inaccurate and because of that I will mess your project. would you seriously use that for demo?
No I wouldn't put that wobbly chuck in the commercial 😂 I'm just crossing my fingers and hoping that this drill will have a stable chuck. Maybe it won't be, but kickstarters are always a hit or miss🤞 If you want to see another crazy tool you should check out "my honest opinion about the doer" the doer is another crazy kickstarter project 😉
Its not smart at all to mount a laser level on a powertool that is more or less knowed to be abused, gets dropped or gets from time to time a pounding. The chuck also looks very "wobbley"
Hi Damon zozo You are right that the laser could potentially break but for me this drill is a replacement for my festool that I primarily use for mounting cabinets, kitchen cabinets and building stairs. For all my work outside I will use something more robust like the makita I use now. Robbox have said that the drill used in the commercial was a prototype and the real version will be sturdy🤞😉
