In south Africa the screws are retracted inside a hole. Trying to find the screw head that's out of sight while also being hampered by a screw driver with a large wide handle. The handle causes the screw driver to enter the hole at an angle so you miss the target. This is because the door frame has a ledge which is higher than the hole. I've simply given up and resigned myself to having a door thats not flush. A real pain.

I would think that well-insulated windows would preclude colder temperatures in the home from penetrating the insulated glass such that water condenses on the cooled exterior pane. If more than half (but not all) of my windows get foggy during the summer, is it time to replace those windows?
I wish you guys would make a triple pane window. Then it'd be the best on the market too! I live by a busy road with construction traffic and I dream about noise reducing windows LoL
I just had impact windows installed in my condo. There is extreme condensation on the outside of the windows each morning. There are weep holes in the track, but it is on the inside of the track where the water is draining. Did they install the window track backwards? I’m concerned that the water will overflow onto my carpet during our summer rains and hurricanes. And that I will need to keep wiping the track with paper towels to maintain. None of the weep holes are clogged.
My window dealer is telling me that SunMatrix will make the window appear noticeably darker. I don't mind a little darker but I don't want a lot darker, and all those words are very subjective and difficult to conceptualize. Are there any photos or videos that could provide insight on how SunMatrix windows look compared to the three layers ?
How do I clean these if there is a clog deeper in the channel that cannot be reached with a pipe cleaner due to the 90° turn it would have to make? I spent hours yesterday taking the door off, pulling up the cover, and trying to clean it with pipe cleaners/compressed air. There is no visible blockage from the top or outside, but the track is full of water and the weep holes are completely dry.

Why do some have caps on. My front door drainage hole had a cap on it. So water could not drain out. Took me a while to realise why. So what is the purpose of the cap
I had an Anlin sliding door patio door installed couple days ago and I realized the deadbolt option is missing. What can I do? Is this an upgrade that my installer or Anlin direct can add to the door?
What does one do if you run out of adjustment and sliding glass door is still not square? Had brand new door wall installed and needless to say they did a less than stellar job. Top of slider leans forward and roller is fully adjusted up and rear fully lowered. Now what?
Lol on those extra cold nights when it gets frosty outside (I live in Australia so snow is kinda not common), when the sun rises it all builds up as liquid at the bottom of the window and can often drip down onto the floor. I was just wiping it away with a towel. but it's annoying if it happens in a room where I have electronic stuff in the room, cus I have to remember to not put it close to the window.
These windows are awful. Hard wind and rain left water leaking down our walls and letting all sorts of dirt and water come inside my house. Our awful, old, cheap windows didn't do this! I don't know anyone else who has had this problem with their windows. Don't panic if water is getting inside your house! This is normal. No. Sorry Anlin, this is NOT normal. I do not recommend these windows at all.
I get the logic of weep holes as a method of drainage. But, I don't get what is the point of double pane windows for better insulation if there is going to be a hole directly to the outside allowing cold or hot air (including bugs) to get into the house ??? Can someone enlighten me with an answer ?
My holes have filled up with bugs over the years and convinced they are letting bugs into my house. Pretty sure windows never had this in the past and had no problem. Modern solutions to non existent problems!
I have a new home and noticed water build up on the INSIDE of the window on the window sill (like a quarter inch). I’m assuming this is not normal and part of the weep hole system
