Does anyone know if the alessis mesh heads work on the Roland td17? I'm currently living in Panama and Roland does not have a presence in Panama City. My set is getting some age and my playing has become more aggressive. Thanks for any replies.
If only Roland could replicate a studio snare sound, after 20 years of v-drums the samples haven’t improved. I have aTD1 but it isn’t as good as my original TD6 soundwise.
and what if i want to play along with a track from an app like Moise or so something along that line? What would you do to have that going through the headset? do i still bluetooth my phone to the module or do i listen through the computer? just wondering. Trying to avoid the need for an audio interface. thank you for this video
I bought the LA Sounds kit and have them loaded on my USB drive. I connect to my TD25 and when trying to copy Kit 1, it says "no usb drive connected". Any thoughts what I'm doing wrong? I'm using M2 Mac Air. I've unzipped the downloaded file and even taken the individual kits out of the Roland file and put them in the top folder.
Only think I hate about these kits is there's no velocity alternation. Each hit sounds exactly the same and could well have a pre programmes randomiser for slight variations in tone/velocity l ect
I have these. They are not as loud as the video made it out to seem. If you have a DAW or just drum software, you can plug it via USB, and it will have more sound.
I just turned 31, figured i might as well learn a instrument as I'm really in need of something to do. Decided to go for drums because personally it seems the most fun, at least to me. Just ordered this kit yesterday with a double bass pedal, can't wait to unpack this. Based on what little research i did, i got the impression that this is a very good beginner kit? Hope that's true :)
I think the DWe’s Sound amazing from the multi layered sample library on the attached laptop, the wireless technology is amazing, but I doubt how practical removing the heads and taking out the wireless basket to switch between acoustic and electric would be in real life situations. Especially at the cost of these drums. The person that can afford such a set can easily afford 2 one of them electric, and the other acoustic. I do, however, see these as a very collectible drum set with a value that should only increase years from now. DW doesn’t do things second rate and these instruments are no exception.
The "real" kit would still be a lot louder than an edrum kit, though. Especially when it comes to volume, whether it's at home or because you simply want to rehearse more quietly in the rehearsal room, but don't want to do without an acoustic look, the VAD sets from Roland are certainly a good option.
umm could i ask how did it cost because i'm planning to buy an e-drumkit too, since i see you're a pro drummer so i hope you could give me tips or something to choose the best e-drumkit in your opinion and the cheapest because i'm not planning to spend like 1000 euros. for example if the e-drumkit price would start from 200eur to 300eur it would be the best to me. Thank for reading that, i hope i didn't waste much of your time

Does anyone know how to download music to play along with from something like Spotify? If you do could you please teach me or provide a link with a how to video. Thanks!
