Chronos pendant is ok if you really want it but it's definitely unnecessary for your build. All it gives is cooldown in its passive and it base stats are pretty mid when comparing it to other items with way better passives and base stats like pen. The only time I like picking up chronos is if I end up buying conduit gem. But as of right now, the builds that I lay out are better for dealing damage. If you have chronos pendant that means you're missing out on some type of pen or health damage related item like soulreaver which does not feel good in the damage department. But hey if chronos pendant works for you, no need to fix a broken clock.
@@BuZz-Smite Realistically our last three morgan item stays the same so the question here is gem/chronos/deso is better over sands/orb/deso. CD are slightly in favour of chronos due to passive but if youre saying doom orb route is better then i aint gonna argue with math.
@TheOneOfAll yeah, sands/orb/deso is gonna do more damage because you're applying double pen where as gem/chronos/deso only has one pen item. On top of doom orb giving you movement speed which is super valuable on morgan. Also, warlocks staff is still pretty good in the spot of doom orb as it gives you 500 health and 10% pen. Either way, I believe chronos pendant is a CDR crutch that is never really worth, as other items will give you more burst in your build. 20 - 30% cdr is good enough for the damage you're gonna be outputting
I have wanted to get better with thoth because I find him fun, tons of range, high damage, dash is solid, but he takes a lot of mechanical skill as everything he has is a essentially a skill shot. Overall would you say his ranking on the list is mostly due to the skill of the player using him?
I would agree with you that in order to play a good thoth u need to be mechanically good with consistent aim. You need to hit most of your line abilities especially your ult. With that being said, the reason he's not higher has more to do with there being better mages then thoth. But also, you're correct, thoth is harder to play than the other better mages too.
As a guardian main of 11 yrs some of these items are very strong when used correctly. Once you learn timing , and keeping track of your enemy procs ,relics , abilities etc.. any tanks can help carry depending situations. Real question is can the backline do their part and take advantage of setups especially solo que. Good Vid ❤ Buzz. Now I ask politely stop giving away secrets its hard on tanks already 😂
I thought about putting her in but I think she still gets banned too much for me to put her in and I think everyone knows about medusa i think lol. But if she isnt banned, then pick her!
Nah, make them hip. Hun batz has the 3rd highest win rate for ranked joust. He counters really good gods like vulcan as well as having crazy team fight potential. He also got recently buffed too so the monkey is really good rn!
Yeah pretty similar to Marti, you could even copy and paste the build if you'd like. I would probably build her like this: bluestone, jotunns, souleater, crusher/qins, titans bane, heartseeker. She is better with auto attack items like qins and exe for example then Marti so you can do a hybrid between auto attack and ability based builds if you wanted.
Yeah I was thinking about kumba but idk if he carries games like others, there's so many guardians that are so good. I could've put him in the honorable too. Also, archdruids is on almost every build as a honorable mention or core at least on warriors lol. For guardians not so much but still decent so I could've added it there in guardians section but at the same time not the greatest on those specific ones so meh...
Yes that as well, but I don't necessarily agree that kumba is a top ban or is banned that often. I didn't really pick him cuz I don't think he carries the same way others do.
@@BuZz-Smite most games I’m able to get kumba I can usually put I’d say more then my weight of the team compared to other pics, he also just fits my play style tho so I just enjoy the character so maybe biased. My friends ban him every game whenever we play customs. I know he gets banned a lot in conq rn
Flat pen is a flat number that ignores protections when you hit an enemy with an ability/auto. For example, if an enemy has 50 physical protection and you buy jotunns wrath that has 10 flat pen, the next ability/auto you use will ignore 10 protections from the enemy essentially making the enemy only have 40 protections for you. Percent pen is a percentage of the protections the enemy has that is ignored when using an ability/auto. For example if an enemy has 50 physical protections and you buy serrated edge that has 20% pen, your next ability/auto will ignore 20% of their protections. 20% of 50 is 10 which essentially means the enemy has 40 protections for you when you hit them. A general rule of thumb is: percent pen is good against tanks while flat pen is good against squishies. Hope this made sense!
@@BuZz-Smite it made sense for the most part. numbers aren't my strong suit. is there a quick way of telling which is which? cuz some items have both. i think.
@@PPKKE I don't believe any item off the top of my head has both percent and flat pen. But, to tell which is which, an item with flat pen will have a number next to it like this: "+10 physical penetration" whereas percent pen will have a number next to it like this: "+10% physical penetration"
He just needed to live because we kill all of them for free. their dive isn't good enough to reach thoth if he just plays back. If we being real, he's thoth, the longest range god and should never die. If we had stayed on the thoth to try and peel his mispositioning, they would've had a better chance of winning
Axe would be used if you want to do more damage eventually upgrading into sundering for most gods. Sigil is if you wanna be more tanky initially and eventually in to the upgraded starters.
It's nice to see Faf getting some of the recognition he deserves. Really nice build, although honestly Axe of Animosity is inferior compared to some other starter items. Even though Faf can now proc item effects in his ult, he still can't proc healing/damage effects as well as other gods and so they'll always be weaker on him. This is because he autos 3-6 times per second at 0.25x damage and healing, so he can proc essentially 0.75-1.5x an item's effects per second as opposed to the 1-2.5x for every other god. This also makes Cyclopean and Telkhines kind of a trap for him. Compared to some other items, Conduit Gem into Gem of Focus outdamages Axe of Animosity by a lot, although you obviously lose the tanky stats from Animosity then. An alternative that I love doing lately is to skip the starter and get Death's Embrace when level 20. Death's Embrace lowers ability cooldowns by 0.33 seconds per auto, and this isn't reduced on Fafnir. This means you can reduce your cooldowns by 1-2 seconds EVERY SECOND, effectively giving you 50-66.7% cooldown reduction that applies *after* your actual cooldown reduction stat. In fights where you get to auto consistently, your abilities all have about a 3 second cooldown with 40% cdr. Basically, if you got embrace, you're playing omnipotence while everyone else isn't and it should allow you to win every fight. Another personal preference of mine is Manticore Spikes. Fafnir abuses it very well, proccing it 2-4 times per combo while deals roughly a quarter of your hp as additional damage. It gives similar stats to Shifter's Shield but with increased offensive capabilities, and you'll no longer have to worry about mp5.
There are definitely good starter items for fafnir especially after the recent changes to how his autos work in his ult. The reason I chose axe of animosity Is just cuz of the extra damage as specifically to apollo I'm able to one shot him with my ult combo as towards the end when I was 1v1ing apollo I calculated it and my axe of animosity itself did an extra 220 damage which is really nice. All that being said though, I can get the same effect with simply buying sundering axe which is probably consistently better. But because I was autos everyone in that game so much, over a period of time, my animosity was outperforming sundering for example. Even though his autos get .25 the effect, it still slaps pretty hard. I do love that embrace tech as you're right it gives so much cooldown which crazy! I will say though if I did buy that instead of animosity, I would be doing less quick burst which means I wouldn't be able to one shot that apollo as easy right off the bat. But yeah there's so many items you can use on him like manticore spikes for example!
If you're referring to the stats that u get like protections and power for example, then imo yes they do just to serve as a self reference on what you might be lacking or have too much of. But other than that, nothing really too important if you really don't like it there.
Hera is just not that great. She doesn't have reliable get away besides having to use her ult, with double tank being present still, she just dies under tower, and with how many antishield items and relics there are, her 3 is pretty useless imo. If you can make her work then by all means use her, but in that higher level of play, she's not very good.
I think discordia is gonna be nasty just because ahes gonna be getting her abilities up so much faster then the other mages. And she was already a good mage. Excited for this patch
He'll most likely be better this current patch, but keep in mind that items like phoenix shield aren't really getting touched, outside of like 50 health nerf... and, items like abyssal stone might make him good in a different way.
Yeah I do a little coaching/game review videos for people who request it, im not an elite coach keep in mind lol. Join the discord and we can potentially schedule something if you'd like. I have been a lil busy lately but I've helped some of the people in our community. And I have 2 cats: one's name is Umbra and the other is Nacho!
Nice vid! I just got into Smite a few days ago. I love playing Achilles in Joust. Is there a good general build you could recommend for a low level scrub like me? I usually go: Bluestone > Thebes > Glad Shield > Manticore Spikes > Archdruid's Fury > Glorious Pridwen > Corrupted
That build is pretty solid. I'd probably stay away from manticore spikes on Achilles as the only cc you get benefit from is your 1st ability but you can still make it work. Currently, the go to generally build for Achilles would be: infused sigil, shifters shield, archdruids, glad shield/oni hunters garb, mantle of discord/spirit robe, and probably last item would be jotunns. There are a lot of good items to build on tanks so you can interchange a lot of items, but I think the items I listed above are almost always good to go every game; some items are better to go then others depending on the enemies team comp as well as yours. I go over almost all the items that are good for every class in my "meta builds update" video for 11.7 if you want a more in depth explanation on builds and items!
