Liberia really needs something like this. We are having serious power crisis not to mention bad sanitation management. This would help curtail the problem for us
It is impressive! But I need your support If you are responsible, I am going to ask you one maintenance question please. I am junior maintenance engineer in a "Waste to Energy Plant" and I am faced a problem of miss- alignment(jump) of the chain from the pulley in a long(about 100m) of the ash conveyor; however we can't retain back the chain to its original position even by pulling with heavy duty loader. What do you think the best option to get retained to its normal position? I will be pleased If you have any suggestion to the problem from experience or else
The best way would be use for heating and electricity or heating only. Because you loose when spinning turbines, we have solar energy for that.... Heating is efficient in northern European countries. Summer it could be used for electricity, winter heating. Also These filters need to be kept in pristine condition. Because some people still do dump batteries and dvds in the rubbish bin.
It has its downsides, besides the super filters inserted it emits a bit of bad stuff. However with low dmizio4of these, they just disolve in atmosphere and filters need to be cleaned and stored later too. However you get Rid of that in storage you can keep it safe.
why is this process not used more, we take coal from underground requiring gigantic mines , mine it, transport it, then burn it, the gasses have to be scrubbed anyway as they are quite poisonous and sometimes the ash left over is radioactive as it has been in a naturally high radiation area. Garbage that we chuck away, and bury underground can be used instead of needing to mine coal, and having energy from things that otherwise would of been buried
NOT awesome there is no way to remove the crap from burning trash these greed heads have been touting this junk project for 20 years and have been continually shot down by real science .dont think a christian radio network is really a likely source for our save the world news ,USE LESS ENERGY is the answer they are wanting to avoid . compress your recycling !!!how many people even THINK of that? if all recycling was compressed ,five less trucks per town per day would have to run .so simple and I cant think of ANYONE (besides myself)who bothers.and REALLY separate ALL toxics form your land fill trash ,how many small devices have you discarded with the batteries still in,do your sweep up "squiggle"fluorescent bulbs and just chuck them in the trash? ($20,000 fine with possible jail time) etc etc
This does not solve the energy return on energy invested problem if you consider the total system of waste creation. it adds burdensome over complexity and financial debt. Society requires 10:1 ratio of energy extracted to energy consumed in order to stave off the negative effects of the thermodynamic laws.
if we use more biodegradable material like bamboo instead of wood, cotton & many plastics , use less pesticides & toxic chemicals, this technology will be even better !!!!
Don't understand why ALL countries around the world are not building these kind of power plants. Disposing rubbish is now a world wide crisis. This is better then using coal and destroying our land and forests. Each ton of hemp grown represents 1.63 tons of CO2 absorption. An average acre of hemp will yield 5-10 tons of dried stalk. A tree can absorb as much as 48 pounds of carbon dioxide per year and can sequester 1 ton of carbon dioxide by the time it reaches 40 years old. Hemp plantation which not only clean our atmosphere but you can make material, paper, cardboard etc , rope, insulation, construction material, bio fuel, oil, the hemp seeds you can feed your cattle, sheep, humans, While Plant our forests back!
