I'm artist that strives for constant improvement and want to help others. I do tutorials, product reviews, art challenges and other art related videos. My favorite medium is watercolors, but I also use other mediums. I'm enthusiastic sketchbooks user, that honestly shares her sketchbooks, even the bad pages. I also love fountain pens.
It's wonderful hearing your experience, thank you for sharing! Being timed in a learning environment certainly is challenging. I hope you develop a way to keep to timed pieces that you enjoy while you're taking the course.
That is super awesome. I'm really happy that you are enjoying it and the hard work will pay off. Your pieces are looking amazing! One of the things I miss about Uni is someone saying - this is the thing you need to work on - from the actual project to the execution/feedback. Looking forward to hearing more.
Thanks for sharing your experience with art school and showing your pieces. Love the one with the bunny and the concept. The yarn one looks awesome, it doesn't show your struggle, but it's good to talk about it and share. I feel like often it doesn't show in the final piece. Levi is of course the highlight moderator in the end. :D Best boy! Have fun with the print class! Can't wait to hear more
That's a beautiful poppy. Perfectly captured texture! More like a photograph does not always mean more realistic. Good job figuring out when the photo differs from the reality you wish to convey :)
Thanks! I was bit surprised how much a photograph differed from reality, it looked too smooth in photo. Also I don't know does my phone do some unwanted post-processing for the photos to "improve" them.
Omg, Cyane! I love poppies and the purple one is perfectly unique. It turned out so well using the new watercolors. The abstract background fits super nicely too!
Thanks! It is Hungarian Blue Breadseed Poppy variety. But I think Finnish climate might have changed the color, since I had lot of variation between flowers. Earlier flowers were more redish, but these later one really cold and bluish.
Lovely painting! 💜🌸🪻 I love how unique your process was for this! Especially in the use of masking fluid at the start, and the negative painting of the petals. The white added such a lovely element to the flower too.
Hi Cyane! I just got out some gouache, and I am feeling quite out of practice with it. Probably use some cheap paper for a bit, before using the Arches.
Your desk is such a nice piece of beauty and history. I love it. I also like it how you measure things in "actions." It makes a lot of sense and looks like an intuitive thing to do, and I liked watching you implementing this into an art studio setting ❤
I haven’t seen a brush box like that before-it’s really neat! I loved seeing all of your storage solutions and hearing about the thoughts behind them! I hadn’t thought about vertical vs horizontal space use before in my studio. I will in the future though!
Solid tips for decluttering. I especially like the examples you gave by not keeping sets together like with the markers or the desk easel and be brave to separate those and keep what you like and use and let the other things move on to new owners. Wonderful! Thank you for the video! It's a much needed inspiration to keep on decluttering my mess. :)
Ive seen koh i noor leads on cult pens but i didnt think they were erasable. I prefer 2mm over anything else. Do they erase well if you put down heavy color? Using a faber castell plastic eraser or something like that
I did some testing and they don't erase fully, if they are put down heavily. They lighten, but still leave some color to page. Especially the black one was hard to erase . But they erase moderately well on lighter application. Definitely much less combared to prismacolor col-erase and pilot color eno.
8:15...I got 10 Pilot Kakuno's...they are amazing work horses ...love these Kakuno's 5 Family kakuno's 1 medium clear demonstrator 1 fine clear demonstrator 1 orange cap ,grey body 1 red cap, grey body 1 light green cap , grey body 12:08 ..is that the Jr skeleton sailor fountain pen ?? the way you collect and like green, is like me, collecting and liking the demonstrators (clear) fountain pens..lol
wow, you have lot of Kakunos! I checked the sailor pen name, and it is Sailor 1911 Profit Junior +10 Harappa Fountain Pen Set Rabbit. There was anteater and golf available too, came with small ink bottle.
@@CyaneInkArt Yeahoo...Your correct....I have a cool connection to the Pilot Kakuno and all the joyous facial expressions on the nibs. They write really well, and the pen material , doesn't cause my hands to feel sore after many hours of writing out reports and signing pay cheques..LOL I will check out these *Sailor 1911 Profit Junior set* they look interesting and fun.
Very impressive collection! My 30 pens very small in comparison. New subscriber. Your English is excellent. Now going to check your past videos. Never have I seen so many green pens. Great to see you doing you. I'm also an artist! The yellow Llamy is so cool. Would love to get my hands on that one. But impossible in USA...
sat watching with a hot chocolate. Definetly drooling over the twsbis. I've been looking at the Iris design. It's so tempting. I wish I got the pokemon lammy. it's too cute,
I have the pocket pen but was disappointed. Problems with ink feed and medium nib more like fine or even extra fine, titanium flex very stiff, but architect nib is fun. Overpriced.
No, I will not do that, Sorry. Too much work and it adds no value. Tools matter very little in art making, I could use any pencil or any watercolors to get same results.
I just found: Kaweco is releasing a piston filler version of the sport very soon! It is way more expensive than normal Sports, but it really looks great.
Ever considered looking for a vintage Kaweco Sport? They are piston fillers and usually also come with a gold nib. Sometimes you can find such pens for a reasonable price, too.
@@CyaneInkArt I'm living in Germany, maybe that's why they are offered more frequently. I actually have got like 3 or so. Cleaned them all up, but only inked one yet. It writes very wet, but then again not that impressive. Have to try put the other two at some point. But the ink capacity is really great for such small pens!
Thanks for the top 5, it's great to see which ones you like best! I like the Twisbi Eco a lot. the 580 had a badly aligned nip when I got it and I sent it back. But maybe I should try with another one... the ink capacity is really an argument for that pen. Thanks for the reminder!
Twsbi sometimes has those nib issues, sadly. I have had one too. There is rose gold version of 580 diamond available too, and also Twsbi AL is similar as well.
@@CyaneInkArtOh yes, I think it was a 580 AL even and the shop didn't want to send a replace nib. So I had to send it back. Maybe I should try with another one and be aware of the nib issues. Because the pen itself is super nice.
Was fun to see your top 5! I only have the twsbi eco so can't really give a top 5 myself 😂. Love that pokemon Lamy it's so dreamy. Is there much of a difference between the eco and the diamond 580?
I think 580 is more premium, it has different nib too, which is bit bigger than in eco. 580 weights bit more and those facets on side make it look very pretty. I also like 580 section more, it does not have those indents than in eco, but have that wide metal ring at the end. 580 is also easier to clean, since section can be just removed and rinse under the tap.
