How could it have been daylight robbery? We scored more goals than you on the day, ourkeeper made some good saves,I suppose we were lucky at your place when we won 3-2 and Nico saved a penalty, tough innit.
I'm slowly watching every game from the promotion season, to remind myself that football can be enjoyable and exciting. As I sit here in January 2024, the present Bradford City are in a sorry state. If I live to the same age as my dad, I've got 13 years left on this planet. I'm hoping that within the next decade I live to see City rise again and I can witness the buzz of anticipation that we used to see at Valley Parade during the Richmond era. I fear that if the club carries on with its present ownership, CEO and overall trajectory there's a good chance that Bradford City will cease to exist as a football league club in the next decade. We need new ownership and a root and branch overhaul of how the football club is managed if we're to see positive changes.
Heartbreaking to watch, really. What a team that was, every last man a City hero for the rest of time, or whilst we still have a Bradford City. Because last night, at a half empty Valley Parade, I saw a City side draw 1-1 with Salford. And I couldn't care less if any of them that played never wore the shirt ever again. Things are now that grim, that every City fan has to come out and try to remove Rupp and Sparks. If we don't I fear we'll end up like Bury, a dead club. RUPP OUT!
You could tell Alan Brazil was taken aback by Robbie Blake and with good reason. He was sensational that season, playing passes nobody else could even see. Blake and Beagrie loved showing defenders one way and switching the other and the scene with both on the bench at the end said everything. Best day ever as a City fan.
I went to that game and outside afterwards I was confronted by a big wolves skinhead , I thought eyup Im gonna have to fight but the lad shook me hand, love to wolves me dad used to play cricket with Kenny Hibbert so we used to get free tickets when they played Leeds city we're 4th division then
How I long for even just a glimpse of those days and or the spirit not to mention the talent of that squad and management team. 2022 and I'd give some of that team a game now before the rubbish that we have. It's not the best time to be a city fan right now but the good times will return at some point. of that there is no doubt
What a match! What a day! Great interview from Geoff at the end. Despite what happened with finances at the end of his tenure I’m sure he always had the best interests of the club at heart. If only we had a Chairman with that vision now!!
Just wanted to say I watched through all of these videos in the last few days and it was incredible to relive so thanks for finding and uploading them all. So many moments I can remember seeing when I was 14/15. Hard to believe we were once this good. I’d love to see a similar set of videos for the following season.
I'm happy that you are enjoying these videos. I think in the 25 years I've been following city there's only been a few seasons that where enjoyable to watch, including this one. I was 20 during this campaign, great time to be a young lad. Anyway, I'm re-uploading these videos as they were originally copied in 360p and look awful now. They are taken from VHS so the quality will never be HD but it's better than previous.
same my dude, I went there when I was about 9 and have been scared of submarines/underwater stuff ever since. I have this distinct memory of looking out of a porthole on my right and seeing an animatronic face of a 'drowning' man with his eyes bloodshot, looking desperate. literally scarred me for life
Defo. I went on a school trip to Eden camp and most of the kids in my year were crying. My teacher had to drag me through the room because I was not moving and had my hands over my ears. 😂😂😂
@@pearlhill5940 literally had the exact same distinct memory! Also in the blitz hut I vividly remember an animatronic hand coming out of a collapsed building which also really disturbed me
