Can anyone tell me who started this type of rock? I want to do a deep dive and find out who started the hair metal and wood outfits !! Any rock and Roll geniuses???
Tony Martin may be a great person, but in all honesty his speaking voice and his appearance in the interview... are unconvincing may I dare say. Cozy and Tony Iommi look and sound like two alpha males, both physically and what else. Tony sounds weak and look weak. He may be a great person, anyway. But he is not Ian Gillan or Ozzy physically and spoken-words-wise.
Motley Crue with Corabi was a totally different animal. It is impossible to discount or disparage this body of work. To be fair, the remaining band members should have made a clean break and given the band a different name. Without Vince, Motley Crue just wasn't going to work. And in fact, time showed this to be the case.
It took me a while to get into Black Sabbath, TBH. I was definitely a Hard Rock fan in the late 80's when I was a kid, and I would've loved the Cozy/Tony Martin era back then. I would've flipped over Tyr in the early 90s. This was exactly the sort of music I started out liking. But it was the last Sabbath I was exposed to. This was never once on my radar in all of that time.
