What is going on Nav Nation and welcome to the PokéNav channel! I’m here to help you navigate the world of Pokémon one video at a time! Here we discuss several aspects of the Pokemon hobby including collecting, investing, market analysis, entrepreneurship, and most of all - a passion for Pokemon! Thank you for stopping by and I will see you all in the next video!
Hey PokeNav, quick question here. I want to open a store as well as creating a brand for streaming and social media clips, merchandise, etc. but I'm worried about the name and the things I'm able to do/sell, do you know what's up with that?
Stoked to have come across your page. Looking forward to tracking your journey. Just a heads up, some of your social links 🔗 in your about me section are broken!
I am retired disabled veteran. Its my dream to own a card shop. Im in the process of paying off debt and starting my journey of opening up a card shop.
I would love to see you do live streams to get the general publics view and also get people in the pokemon space on the show, big or small content creators. Long format is not a problem we can all pause and go again if it's a long video
The reality is there’s no such thing as starting with 0 everyone will have their own starting budget. Selling off a collection feels like 0 because it was money spent 5-10 years ago so I get that. The best thing is having an audience. The most challenging is obtaining product below MSRP. I’m curious to see how u plan to stock ur shelves. I know most distributors require u to have brick and mortar. Looking forward to the next vid!
Oh, and one more, I recently realized that I don't know what to look at when buying boodter packs for grading. How do you determine if a pack is gradable? Sorry for asking a lot of questions, but much appreciated if you could answer, thanks a lot!! 😅.
Great one as always man! I recently got my cards back from PSA and most of them are like pop 20 - 50 ish and there aren't much sales data, so if you wanna sell those, how would you set the price of those cards? The cards are 2003 - 2010 Japanese 1st edition regular holos, Japanese 1st edition Lv.X and all are in 9s and 10s
I was gonna ask u something but miss But I'll ask Do you think we see a 2020 situation anytime soon again or a current Japan situation overhear ... Or do u think.we stay about the same here with no real big shifts or jumps
2020 was truly an anomalous year in so many ways. The hobby as a whole is also more vetted than it was a few years ago and hobbyists are much more privy to market conditions. I think we will see more "micro" trends that could have big potential rather than a huge bull run across the entire Pokemon market.
Could be individual sets, niche cards, grading preferences, the possibilities are endless. The most important thing to do is to stay up to date with current market trends and analyze your decision carefully.
Really depends on the condition of all cards taken together. I would say if you have great conditions on the top tier cards (ie. Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise) , then I would really lean into that when promoting a full set. People will pay more of a premium on the rest of the set, if they know they can get those big chase cards in great condition.
Boy, I'm so frustrated that I will have to miss your streams on Fridays... since I have work while you are streaming 😱 I will watch all the archives man :) And I'll leave questions in the comment section when I have any, appreciate it tons if you could take time to answer :) I've been collecting Japanese 1st edition regular holos and sealed products from ex(2003) - bw era. Planning on grading 1st edition Japanese booster packs from those eras as well :) I'm digging into the niche because literally nobody is talking about them and it makes me a bit more unique collector, I think 😅. It's a pretty good place to take a look at in my opinion.
