Hi there! To raise the temperature, simply unlock the i12 by pressing and holding your finger on the LOCK icon displayed on the LED screen for a duration of 5 seconds. Once unlocked, you'll regain control over adjusting the temperature settings. I hope this helps. ☺
I need a hot water heater that works when there is no electrical power. Your indoor units seem to all require electricity to ignite. Can I use the portable unit inside or run piping inside to shower and sinks?
Hey there! Our portables are for temporary outdoor use only, but they do not require electricity! It would work perfect for an outdoor shower set up though!
Hey there! our portables are powered by an ON/OFF switch located on the bottom of the water heater. If you have the switch in the ON position, it will ignite when flow starts and shut off when flow stops, but we highly recommend turning the switch to OFF if you are not using it for safe use.
This was an exact replacement for the old one that lasted about 10 years. ru-vid.comUgkx7yWIKcrbA9KMHkGSfcgxW2lsjHT6B8Sh The top of my mitigation tube by my roofline was just a 90 elbow which allowed too much debris to fall down into the fan, eventually ruining it. Without this issue, I bet it would have kept running another 10 years. When I replaced this fan, I added an extra elbow joint so the top tube now it does a 180, which should solve that problem. The radon guys around here wanted to charge me a $300 diagnostic fee, then parts/labor (probably close to $600 total). I installed this all by myself in about an hour for the cost of the fan; it would probably be even easier/faster with two people. FYI the manufacturer's warranty greatly differs depending on whether you install it yourself (1 yr warranty) or have a licensed installer do it (10 yrs).

This unit is amazing. First time using it tonight, and wow for the price the quality and heat are great. My well water is prety cold, but this machine provided excellent shower temp water. Thank you Eccotemp for making a great priced, well built unit, I will definitely recomend to any one.
Can the unit get wet? I built an outdoor shower and im wondering on placement of the unit. Would be great to have it in the shower so I can access the knobs. The shower only has half privacy walls, so lots of open space to vent and get fresh air. From bottom and top as well as sides.
Hello, yes. The water heater can get wet, but it should never be submerged or left in heavy rain. These are temporary use only, so please do not permanently install as it will void your warranty. But for a outdoor shower, it should work just fine having it inside the shower. 😁
@@Eccotemp thanks for the reply. I will use two screws into a 4x4 to have it in hung in the outdoor shower when in use. I will store in my heated shed once I'm done, and the unit is dry. I'm using a garden hose, and I've attached a Amazon basics brand in line water filter to ensure nothing clogs up the system.
Great question! We recommend using the Eccotemp System Descaler Solution, made to quickly dissolve water scale, lime, rust, and other water-formed deposits, restoring efficiency to most all appliances. It's a non-toxic concentrate which is certified to NSF/ANSI 60 for use as a cleaner in potable water systems. It comes in a 32oz bottle or 1-gallon jug.
No electricity required! Our Luxe Portables have an ignition powered by 4 x AA batteries. Just attach a garden hose and a 20 lb. propane tank for hot water on demand anywhere outdoors.
@@tricountyaccountability1040 Great question! It will depend on the battery brand along with other factors. In our Luxe Portable Water Heaters, the 4x AA batteries are only used for the LED display and initial ignition.
Great question! The water heater is not to be permanently installed indoors or outdoors. It is a portable tankless water heater that requires proper ventilation and clearance for safe use. As you can see in the video, he has it mounted just right inside his door to his van, to protect from elements. But, he's outside when he's using it and keeping the door open for ventilation. His sink inside the van is a cold only sink, so you notice that he is not using hot water, therefore, there are no fumes inside the van when he's inside of it. You should never run the water heater in an enclosed space, as it should be used outdoors for proper and safe ventilation. Let us know if you have any more questions!
Hello Daniel! Yes, it's ½” connections. You may check out some more info on our website! eccotemp.com/eccotemp-luxe-el7-portable-outdoor-tankless-water-heater/
It is a new sleek design for sure. Comes well-packaged and includes a Temperature & Pressure Relief Valve (T&P). The power cord is pre-attached and it says 1440 watts. They are on sale as of this posting. I will return and post more once I start using mine. I have been using EccoTemp for many years and they have improved in all areas.
My tankless 45hl same as your water heater It is about 2019 years model . .I want to replace computer board but now eccotemp is selling August 2010 to 2021 to present can you tell me new version computer fit my heater water. Thank
Hello there! The ideal operating range for the EL7 is 20~80 PSI with a 1.85 GPM flow. For low water flow/pressure situations, Eccotemp recommends using the Eccotemp EccoFlo 12-volt Pump & Strainer (purchased separately) to give you an extra boost of waterpower.
Hello Alex, great question. If you do not have pressurized water, you can pair any of our L10 Portable Tankless Water Heater with our Eccoflo 12V Pump and Strainer to pressurize and pull water out of a barrel, bucket or nearby water source. You can get our Eccoflo 12V Pump and Strainer here: www.eccotemp.com/eccotemp-eccoflo-triplex-diaphragm-12v-water-pump-and-strainer/

Hello there! Thank you for your interest in our L5 Portable Tankless Water Heater. You would need to bring a water hose if traveling off-grid with one of our Portable Tankless Water Heaters. Our lightweight and portable Eccoflo 12V Pump and Strainer can be used to pressurize and pull water out of a barrel or nearby water source. You may get it here -> www.eccotemp.com/eccotemp-eccoflo-triplex-diaphragm-12v-water-pump-and-strainer/
Great question. Our Portable Tankless Water Heaters are powered by Liquid Propane only. They are designed so that you can travel with them and easily hook up to a standard propane tank anywhere off grid. We do have natural gas tankless water heaters designed for permanent installation for your whole home. Feel free to check out all of our models here: www.eccotemp.com/eccotemp-tankless-water-heaters/
Great question. If you're using a public water source or pressurized water, you do not need a pump with our Portables. If you do not have pressurized water, you can pair the Portable with our Eccoflo 12V Pump and Strainer to pressurize and pull water out of a barrel or nearby water source.
@@martinetine4810 si ça marche au propane, ça marche au butane ! ce sont les memes gicleurs et les 2 sont du GPL. il est toutefois possible de monter un détendeur adéquat ......je vous quitte, il se fait tard Tine..............
Good question @luckeychuckey70. The Eccotemp Portable Tankless Series and our Eccoflo Pump and Strainer are designed for outdoor and off-grid use where electricity and public water sources are not readily available.
HELP HELP..... Cant find any help at all. My EccoTemp L5 stays on for 5 minutes then shuts off and won't remain on continuously. The company was not any help. Can anyone help me figure it out. Water pressure was checked at a constant and at the required pressure. The propane tank is a filled to the max 20lbs tank. It lights up just find. Recently replaced battery compartment due to battery acid leak and the Microswitch just for heck of it. I don't see any timer or reason for it to just shut off since water pressure and gas are where they are suppose to be, also no wind blowing out burner and so forth. Look I checked all basics so that's where its at. Also, burner is burning bright and healthy with good flames present.

It has been 10 years now... Do you still have this one... Do you still like this tankless water heater? Would you change anything? I am getting ready THIS WEEK to buy one... and am not sure if I should by this one. Thank you for your help and sharing this video.
YES... you buy your own water hose... but at 0:16 it comes with it's own gas hose. It doesn't take much to make you upset you, does it... hum. ... most everyone has a water hose at their house... this company isn't going to provide that TOO.
Great overview. Can you vouch for leaving this outdoors? I called customer service and they indicated it should be brought inside after use. It’s too big and no handle to do this. Worked great though in my test run. …Using for heating an 8’ #stocktankpool on occasion to extend the summer season.
