A unique jewelry is forever. The passion for jewelry led me to realize unique jewelry completely handmade . I have been awarded in national and international jewelry design competitions , I'm able to perform any kind of processing of jewelry, are also gemologist. Often I'm asked why I do not realize jewels with 3D design and lost wax casting. Normally in my production for my clients, I use all the techniques available, depending on the type of production, the quantity of ordered pieces and the quality cost of the jewel finished. In the public videos I have chosen to make jewels in a completely artisanal way for the following reasons: Realization is more accurate. The execution time for a single specimen is often less than other techniques. No need for particularly expensive machinery. Anyone who wants to try can do it, just a little bit of commitment and manuality. The finished product is of the highest quality, it does not matter the most precious jewels, they are still handcrafte
Been a fan of your work for so many years! Actually learned most of my metalsmithing from your videos haha. I was curious what brand of saw blades you use? I tend to get those thinner blades running away all the time, although I'm sure mostly it is due to skill 😂 i still think i am not using the best blades.
I usually use three sizes, 0, 3/0, and 6/0 depending on the job. Remember the thinner the blades the harder it is to go straight. The brand I use if it's available is called IRIS jewelers' saws

For Halloween you should make a silver skeletal gauntlet. That wraps around the wrist down to the tips of the fingers. Basically exoskeletal style but make the pieces look like actual bones in the hand and fingers. Maybe even add gold claws to the finger tips? Embed jewels into the knuckle joints.. I don't know if this makes any sense but what I am picturing would be an epic piece of gothic style jewelry. Either do ball joints or chains linking the bones, perhaps make it unisex adjustable. So any gender can wear it to fit them. I would totally commission you for the work but I don't have that kind of money. But the idea is yours if you want it. You could even do a flat black finish on the metal to make it look charred bone and use gold for the claws.
What technology ? He’s using very standard tools, with a lot of it being by hand to begin with. He’s not gonna go caveman and light a fire with kindling just for the sake of it.
What a beautiful chain and your video is great. Can I please ask what the size of the mandrel is that was in the drill, and what was the measurements of the half round wire. Thankyou
Here, as in any business, everything is relative. Not every jeweler has the skills to work with vector graphics on a computer to qualitatively prepare a file for a laser machine. And unfortunately, with such engraving there are irretrievable losses of gold, which is almost non-existent with manual and mechanical engraving. But you are absolutely right, speed and quality are decisive factors here.
