You might want to try a whopper plopper in the 90 and 110 size's . I catch snook and bass Both day and night. The bone , powder and chrome are my top 3 for saltwater. You wont tire your self out as much. There are a multitude of retrieves you can use.
do you have a video catching big mangrove snapper and how you set it up with your rod. I want to change out my line to 20lbs braided since I already have that and i want to start catching fish I can eat LOL
The problem with inshore snapper is that you have to catch 5 or 6 to find a keeper. Once the snapper reach 10" they move to the deeper water of the ship channel, then travel to the limestone ridges and artificial reefs offshore. if you snorkel the Ft DeSoto jetty and piers you will see many juvenile snapper because it is a snapper nursery.
